Our 4th visit. Previously for Breakfast or brunch but celebrating a birthday and booked for Sunday lunch. Disappointed that as we were served our meal we were told there was noHorseradish sauce and only grain mustard! Come on - Sunday lunch service and no Horseradish? Member of staff apparently sent out to get some but not quick enough for our meal. We were seated right near the entrance door and it became irritating when it was left open creating a draught, after getting up 3 or 4 times and shutting it I think the staff got the message. Is a self closing door not a solution. The quality of the food was excellent and the staff efficient, but, we felt as though these small things could be addressed with a little thought.

The only down side for me was the fact that they wouldn't accept cash, which is legal tender and my preferred way of paying.

Surprisingly busy for a Monday morning. The place seems to be the hub of the community after the children have been dropped off at school but it also attracts people from further afield. My party were from Leicester, Nuneaton and Loughborough. A most pleasant experience.

Paucity of alcohol free drink options, also no mocktails!First server didn't seem to know much about the menuEarly doors on a busy Saturday night, told they only had one steak left! When main courses were served, mine came considerably later than the others. Always a sign of a kitchen in crisis!Food best described as mediocreNo one on our table had burger and chips which seemed to be popular and maybe that's the dish the restaurant is set up to serve.Desserts were a waste of money.Upon leaving we left a tip, we'd had a nice evening with friends, however no staff were on hand to bid you farewell or ask whether you've enjoyed the meal.So... nice room and good company shame about the food and drinks.

Drove to Gilmorton for Sunday morning breakfast. Open fire, poached eggs & salmon, coffee, toasted banana bread & mascarpone.....Great start to the day !

Went for breakfast with family from when we walk through the door nothing was too much trouble, you do need to go early or be prepared to wait as they are very busy.
Last minute booking for a baby shower. Kim sorted everything out for us down to fine details. We hired the Barn which was lovely and warm on a very cold day and beautifully set up for us to decorate beforehand. Staff were always on hand and absolutely everything went according to plan. Thank you Kim and your excellent team.

We went for the first time last night for our staff Cristmas dinner. The atmosphere was great, the whole staff were lovely and the food was excellent. I had the best piece of fish that I have ever tasted. We have already booked again!

We tried out Morton’s for an evening meal, and we really enjoyed the experience from start to finish. The restaurant has a lovely and warm atmosphere, the cocktails (especially the Chocolate Orange Espresso Mortini ?) were lovely and the food was fresh and so tasty. We decided we fancied 2 sides instead of the starter option, so had grilled Halloumi and a Green Garden Salad to share, which was fresh and perfect to start. Next, after a recommendation by the staff, I had the Roasted Halibut Supreme… oh wow ? it was hot, the skin was crispy, and the fish chunky and flaky. The creamy sauce was delicious. The flavours were a perfect combo. If you wanted a beautifully cooked, relaxing, tasty meal, this is the place to go ?
