Popped in before a show at DMH. No booking, but were accommodating despite being pretty full. Good, friendly service, with food arriving within a few minutes. Very tasty. Massive prawn dosa for a tenner or so. No indication on menu of spiciness however (hence 4 stars for food). Leftovers (pepper chicken) taken home and used for 2 subsequent meals! Would give it more time next time to not be do rushed.

NOT RECOMMENDEDworst food ever had. I wonder how this restaurant has 4.4stars.We ordered chicken biryani- it was just basmati rice mixed in tomato base. ?

Chettinadu restaurant in Leicester stands out as the best South Indian dining experience I've ever had, offering an exquisite blend of Tamil Nadu and Kerala cuisine, renowned for its delicious flavors and exceptional customer service compared to other establishments. Those longing for authentic South Indian cuisine should pay a visit to Chettinadu restaurant, where they can indulge in a wide array of dishes and savor the true flavors of the region.

Best restaurant in Leicester for South Indian food. Food is of good quality and quantity. The ambience is superb.
Located on the London Road, the nearest car park is the Victoria Park car park, which is just across the road. We had pre-booked a table & placed the order for starters, which was ready by the time we reached. The ambience is good and staff very friendly. The menu has a good spread of South Indian cuisine. The food was good and authentic. The service was very good too... overall, it was a very good dining experience.

Out of our urge to explore typical South Indian delicacies, we landed up in Chettinad Resturant. It was rainy chilling evening and we were ok for being late to a good lunch. But our wait was worth it. The moment you enter, the fragrance makes your mouth water. We got a cozy place and were excited reading the menu. We ordered for a family non veg platter and chicken lollipop. The taste was mid boggling especially the masala mutton, fish, chicken 65 and fried prawns. We couldn’t resist and placed the same order again. Now we plan to visit again and order the non veh thalis which looked really yum while passing to other tables.
