The food is ok, but the staff are very unprofessional. Customer care is non existent. Was told my order would take 20 minutes but after an hour, they were still giving excuses and making fun of me. Finally had to give up and went to Nandos and got my order in exactly the promised time ,15 minutes. Chickanos need to retrain it's staff if they are to compete with other good restaurants. On the positive, their chicken is nice and I will definitely miss it but won't go back.

The place was absolutely filthy, the floors and bathrooms were disgusting. The worker who took my order was so rude and swore at me. They then got my order wrong and served me a cold burger with soggy chips. Not to mention the fact that i found a nail in my food, I nearly vomited everywhere. Then when I complained and asked for a refund they told me to get out and said I'm not getting any money back. DO NOT EVER EAT HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE POISONED!!!

Popped in for lunch today to check it out. I was pleasantly surprised by the student discount. The venue was quite clean and comfortable, too.I ordered a basic chicken burger and fries with no mayo, but add pickles. Instead of pickles, they gave me jalapeños I came to find out back at home. The fries were pretty stale but the chicken quality was impressive. I likely won't come back again, but the chicken was decent.

Ordered a burger meal, they said half price of the burger means excluding drink and fries, misleading info why say 50% off when it’s more 20% the staff member tried arguing with me over it but I couldn’t be bothered with him, anyways the fries were burnt and tasteless and the burger was dry. Plus it’s very overpriced, normally £10-11 for a burger meal. Would not recommend at all.

A cosy and quiet place in the middle of the city center. Absolutely loved the atmosphere and staff were great too. Took a bit of time to prepare the food- acceptable timeframe.Only one thing was a bit awkward, chicken and rice were actually quite spicy ?, and I haven't seen it on the menu as mentioned info. As not everyone enjoys when food is spicy, but even with this "issue" I ate almost everything ( except rise) and really enjoyed it.Sauces, salt, wet wipes.. everything included in the meal +Toilets should be looked at by staff regularly to make sure everything necessary is available, as for example in the men's toilet there was no toilet paper but at the women's toilet seat was missing .Which is totally unacceptable.But even all this doesn't change the fact I liked the place and happily recommend it to everyone. And don't forget the staff were brilliant too !

The chicken is better than Nandos! No lies! We had the wild mango, and it was fantastic. Very juicy! The portion was great. And I enjoyed my Rio tropical drink. That was good, too! The only negative critique I can say is that the person who served us was not very welcoming. He wasn't rude, but he didn't smile and wasn't very hospitable. He served us as if he didn't want to be there. ? I forgot to take pictures of our food.

Ordered two burgers and a tex mex salad today. Absolutely appalled by the service especially from Afridi who was working front of house.Ordered 2 meals and got charged 99p extra for my drink because it was a coke bottle and they didn't have cans which I feel is the fault of the store and this should have been honoured without extra charge.Waited 40 mins for our order patiently and those who came after us had been served and we were still waiting. We asked Afridi how long our food would be and explained that we have been waiting for 40 mins. He said we're just waiting for chips. I waited 10 mins and he gave me the two burger meals and when I asked for my salad, he said it's coming and asked the chef how long it would be and he said I'm making it now!!!How ridiculous!When my salad arrived, it was made with popcorn chicken. Being a regular for years at Chickanos, I did not expect such bad service.I went back and explained that it has never been made with popcorn chicken and he was rude and adamant that it has always been made with popcorn chicken. I explained that I am a regular, the food given is not as advised and I showed pictures as seen on the menu on the screens above and he was still adamant that he's right. Very rude and very bad service. 0/10The burgers tasted raw and were rushed. I can't believe we waited this long only to have despicable quality of food.

Went out to Leicester to do some much needed shopping, and I stopped by at Chickanos in the city centre. The place had lots of seating with some customers already dinning in.Went to the counter and asked the person at the tills if I can see the menu, he pointed above behind him that saying that’s the entire menu. (So I believe that they don’t do menu selection in a paper/ leaflet form).Anyway I chose the Mighty Memphis as a meal deal, it came with fries that were crunchy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. ? And a can of Pepsi Max. Along with this I also ordered 6 grilled wings in buffalo sauce.The Mighty Memphis had many things in it as you bite into it has different textures, in which I liked. The grilled wings were juicy but I feel the wings had a different taste from your traditional Buffalo sauce, other than that I liked it!Parking: You are more or less likely to park in dover street car park, as its one of the ones which is near to Chickanos.Wheelchair accessibility: A wheelchair user can enter here, but they'll need assistance for the doors to be held open.Dietary restrictions: It is Halal
