Large portion of chips just lately are NOT a large portion. But still getting charged for large!! Be vigilant public.....feel conned ?

Very quick service, all the classics and well executed. Very friendly service on a busy Friday evening and hot and freshly cooked. I walked so did not have the challenge of parking which can be a challenge. Lovely experience and food. Everything it needs to be and not trying to be anything it doesn’t need to be.Parking: Very limited parking

Clearly Murph spider walks round with his eyes closed because theres a cash point next to it at the co op and do cash back. Just a shame that people give them one star cause people are not clever enough to get some cash or open their eyes

I’d highly recommend this chip shop, good quality chips and fresh with good sized portions, the fish is a good size with a amazing batter soft inside and crispy on the out simply amazing gets the tastebuds dancing. It is a good place. You will be seeing me again and again.

I visited here about 3 weeks ago and ordered two of the halloumi burgers which are advertised as vegetarian. However, they were cooking them on the same flat grill plate as they had just removed some of the chicken kebab meat from. They then moved our burgers down and put Donner meat on at the same time. The staff couldn't understand why it was an issue that the halloumi burgers and meat were being cooked on the same grill.Asked for a refund and will not be visiting here again.Also it is not good enough that you cannot pay by card.
I purchased a small portion of chips, and they had either been over cooked or perhaps reheated from lunch time. As they were only fit for the bin I shall not be shopping here again. Very dissapointing.

The first time we visited, we did not have cash. Hello, it's 2024, who doesn't accept card payment? The second visit was disappointing. The fish and chips were greasy, and the batter on the cod had an odd flavour and colour. This is one chippy we would not go back to. Stay away. Atmosphere and service like a wet February in Scunthorpe.

This is now my local having moved back to the village.Ive driven by it a few times but as there seemed to be a queue Ive always driven past, but this time I went in.I ordered a small fish, cone of chips and peas.It was all pretty nice. For a cone of chips there were a good amount, plenty for me. The fish, although ordered as a small, was enough and the peas were tasty. All seemed pretty pleasant, would be happy to go back for more.Cant believe people are whining that they dont take cards, it clearly says cash only and theres an ATM less than 10 seconds away.

Nice Chippy but does not take cards. That is not acceptable these days. On my last visit myself and other dissapointed customers were left to roam around the village looking for a working ATM or shop with cash back. Don't blame the card charges. We all know as business owners that they are quite low now. Besides Fish and chips is a very expensive treat these days. I'm sure you can pay the small fees. I will be periodically checking in to see if they get a machine. Until then I, and I'm sure many others will stay away.
