We went for dinner with family last night, after reading all the good reviews and I felt like I must share my experience. The curries that come within the thali were very average, the mix sizzler was very tasty, my MIL loved her masala dosa.But let me talk about the service, we ordered two maharaja thali. This means you can eat as much as you want. It's not buffet but you can keep asking for more if you like. So, upon asking for ONE additional bhatura, this is all I asked for and wanted. The girl seemed puzzled, so that got me confused thinking if this was "unlimited thali" as they call it. But then she said OK, I'll bring it out for you. I waited 10 mins and asked if it would take long. She said she'll go and check and never returned. 5mins later an another lady came to check if everything was OK with our food. I told her I have been waiting for more than 10 mins for all I asked for 1 bhatura. At that point, I was just very disappointed and asked for the bill. We had a 3 years old and 1 year old with us. So, I couldn't keep the family waiting to me to eat an extra bhatura.So desi bites please don't call the dish "unlimited" to mislead people.This is my personal views from my experience.

This was our first visit at Desi Bites. I must say that I had high expectations going by the reviews. Unfortunately for me, it did not live up to expectations. The place was ok, nothing special, and the food was ok too. The food was pretty much what I have tried at other vegetarian restaurants. The one good thing was the waitress Bhakti. She was very helpful,despite being called to do other things whilst she was serving, which to me was a bit unprofessional. Maybe we were just unlucky on the day. So overall,not bad but nothing special.

The environment is nice and welcoming. Staff attentive. The food quality however is poor. There's fresh food and stale food and you know the difference between the two. Cheap ingredients and shortcuts equals poor quality food.The dishes are really cheap hence why it might be popular place: I think the place has potential. Make dishes a little more expensive and use good quality ingredients will make a difference. We have eaten here twice and both times I've felt the same. Only this time we fell ill with a stomach upset, due to stale food (Had chole).If you want cheap cheerful then this is the place.
