The strapline for Heavenly Desserts is "made with love". If this is so, then I'm in a toxic relationship. The flowers at the entrance are a curiosity. At first glance they looked like flowers you'd see in a funeral parlour. On closer inspection they may well have been, or from actual graves, as they were in headstone urns! From the rest of my experience here I'm confident this isn't a clever play on the world "Heavenly".Ordered a basque cheesecake but didn't want the chocolate sauce all over it; because why would you want that with a basque? I asked for cream instead and the waitress was in shock that I wanted pouring cream. Apparently they don't do pouring cream. Surely having prerequisite for claiming to be a dessert shop. Anyway, I was told the chocolate sauce came on the side. Then when it came it was covered in the sauce. Yet another shocked-face moment when I sent it back asking for it without the sauce. Regardless, it wasn't worth the argument not waiting for a grainy cheesecake with differing textures throughout (a sign of old basque). The disappointment (my partner's description) didn't end there. The sticky toffee pudding, although clearly having dates in which was nice, was miniscule for the price, luke warm, and covered in what can only be considered as gravel (meant to be honeycomb, but would make a great component of pebble dash).Maybe it was an act of god in that this was the only place in walking distance before a show in horrible weather... Or maybe Leicester is just full of awful dessert shops....

(The picture shows I was not happy with the worker) The food was amazing and so was the atmosphere butttttt there was a CREEPY WORKER winking at my friend. It was meant to be a fun experience celebrating a friends birthday (not the same friend) so I would like for you to talk to this man.?Kid-friendliness: THERE WAS A CREEPY WORKER WINKING AT MY FRIEND SO NO KID FRIENDLINESS

I went here last week with my friends and we had a lovely time. Despite us taking forever to order our food, our server (Anandhu) was absolutely amazing and very patient with us! He knew the menu thoroughly and even gave us his personal favourites which were delicious! Great service from him! :)
