Looking for a lunch spot with a friend and found Herb. We had the £4.95 Dosa offer, which is available from 12.00 to 5.00 every day ( i think?)I started with the soup-cumin and coriander- hot and very tasty. We chose the masala dosa and the paneer dosa. Both were absolutely delicious, well stuffed with generous portions of filling. The Dosa comes with 3 chutney that compliments the meal. The decor of the restaurant is great, carved wood panels, low lights, chunky wood tables. You dont feel like you are in Leicester, you feel transported away. Absolutely great spot, less than 10mins walk from the train ststion.I will definitely visit again.

I went during lunchtime and opted for the herb dosa - vegan. The portion size was large with a good potato stuffing mixture. I could taste the coriander and mint within the inner lining of the dosa which came with a 3 chutneys - coriander & mint, tamarind and coconut. The sambar was full of flavour, not too hot just delicately balanced spices. The service was great, water was topped up and the place was very clean and had a good ambiance about it.I have visited this establishment 3 times now and each time I'm left wondering if this is the best veggie restaurant in Lestah. It's a compelling yes from me and I urge meat eaters to make a trip and take your taste buds on an unexplored adventure.

What a lovely find! Passing through Leicester we stopped at this veggie restaurant whose tagline is “Where the guest is God”; very apt, as the servers were just delightful and couldn’t do enough to be helpful and courteous. Incredible interior and delicious food - some of the best Dosas we had had! All the curries were delicious and overall a good value. Can highly recommend.

What a lovely restaurant! The decor was great, ditto the background music. And as for the food - we both went for the thali, and found it tasty and imaginative. The staff were great and the prices reasonable. Next time we're in Leicester we know where to go!

This place is outstanding, great ambiance and THE FOOD is amazing. Home cooked and super fresh. We had the thali , 8 curries , giving us a real taste of what the restaurant is all about . I’m not a vegetarian however I didn’t miss meat one bit with the delicious flavour of the dishes . A special mention to Akhil our waiter, he talked us through the menu with enthusiasm and a happy smile ?

Great ambience, superb service and fantastic food. The staff were brilliant, helped with recommendations and the dishes I picked were so flavoursome and filling. In a party of 8 and all had the same experience.

Wanted to taste a cross section of the menu so went with the tapas option that covered soup followed by 8 dishes with rice and bread, pudding was like a sticky toffee rice pudding. Great flavours and lovely presentation of the dishes. Would highly recommend ????

I don't know many Keralan restaurants - Jai Krishna near Finsbury Park in London was a long time favourite - it looks like I have found a new favourite! Herb's food is excellent. The menu is completely vegetarian (no meat whatsoever, so unreconstructed carnivores may be the only ones who don't like it) and full of southern Indian delights, such as dosa, sambar, and uppatham, which you don't see in the more common northern Indian/Bangladeshi restaurants. I had a thali, which was a magnificent feast! Service is great too - attentive but not intrusive. My special thanks go to Akhil, who looked after us splendidly. Would I recommend Herb? Absolutely!

Delicious food and great service. Brilliant for gluten free options & knowledgeable about allergens. The best Indian we have ever eaten and we will definitely be back.

The menu had so much choice we didn’t know what to pick and Abin was happy to help explain the menu and give advice on our dietary requirements. He was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The cocktails and food were delicious. It’s great value for money. Highly recommend.
