5 stars for the quality of fish and chips, haddock was flaky and not overcooked, batter was crispy, not oily. But can not get over the price of fish n chips, no longer a regular takeaway for me, just a treat nowadays. £18 for 2 fish and large chips!!!

Delicious, fresh and great value. We had two Haddock which were enormous, and they were so light and tasty. The husband also had, mushy peas, double curry sauce and a pickled onion. (I had no idea you could buy a single picked onion!) the two guys who were there were really friendly too. It was a delicious lunch cooked to order. Hope everyone comes back to fish and chips like we have. You could have spent the same amount on a Mc-takeaway-FC and it wouldn’t have been anywhere near as nice as High Tide. PS. They also do ‘scratchings’ YUM!

Just been in for our tea had 2 stake and kidney pies and a large portion of chips I noticed the price as gone up and when the girl was rapping them I asked her if it was a large portion she said yes when I got home the portion was no bigger than a normal one the pies were like rubber so on the grounds of the chip size I won’t be going in there againParking: Good

The nicest fish and chips we’ve had in a VERY long time! Chips fluffy on the inside, crisp on the outside and not oily at all. Fish was cooked perfectly, batter crisp and golden. Staff extremely friendly and welcoming. Thoroughly recommended!
