Yet again no salmon why have it on the menu, when you never have salmon available. No onion ring has well so only getting worse. Ordered Hunters chicken in menu says two breasts of chicken, got one cut in half. Poor meals ,avoid

It's location with this place. Right on the canal and top end of watermead park means it's perfect before, after or during a walk or cycle. The building is a little tatty. And being a hungry horse don't expect gastropub but it's good honest tasty afforable fare with great service in a fab setting. The team today were particularly awesome so if you're in the area give it a shot. It's green king owned so good ale isn't particularly in it's favour but that's my only real criticism.

I came to hope n anchor for drinks, I got a rum punch pitcher and a Malibu & coke. Service was a bit slow as understaffed but drinks where good

We visited this evening and considering the staff were working with a limited menu (broken grill) and recovering from yesterdays heatwave they were lovely…young man behind the bar made us aware of any offers or specials on while being personable and friendly.lady who waited on us was also lovely and friendly to talk too. Food was delicious (I recommend the fish & chips batter was light and no grease at all) Just a lovely friendly visit made better by the wonderful staff!
