Good food but small selection, good service.

Food was very good. Service was excellent. Shame the food took a while to turn up at the table.

The Market Kitchen is let down by bad service. We paid for a hotel room with use of the Executive Lounge but due to the Christmas period the Lounge items were being dealt with in the Restaurant. We went down for Nibbles and ended up having just one portion, as I advised there was a lot of it my husband wouldn't like on it. It was only later I realised that a couple in front of us had 3 or 4 each, sometimes asking for just bread and in one case asking for the pasta to be brought out in bigger bowls, to save bringing more of them. It certainly seemed like regulars were treated differently. Due to this and the staff chatting to regulars ordering from the main menu was painfully slow and getting another drink, near impossible. At breakfast the next morning it was self-service and I was offered help, but I found myself with Apple Juice, and not Cranberry Juices, as the juices were labelled incorrectly - lack of detail. Before Checking Out, were had a Late Check out so we ordered lunch, which you do on the App. The App advised that it would be 45 minutes for delivery, but after 70 minutes waiting it had not arrived. I went down to Reception to enquire and apparently the order was stuck in the printer. 25 mins later we had food. Bearing all this in mind, I am not sure if we would eat here again, however convenient when staying at the hotel.

Tandoori chicken burger, bit dry but aromatic flavour. Chips seasoning delicious and moreish. Service was 10/10.First day breakfast 7am perfect. Omelette made to order, even Indian flavours.Second day breakfast 9am too busy, unorganised, tables weren't being re-set fast enough. Had to ask for cutlery multiple times. Hot drinks machine stopped working momentarily. Not enough English breakfast tea bags. Plus side Indian tea offered. Lots of condiments.Sausages and hash browns delicious. Scrambled eggs and poached eggs too watery.Lots of nuts present with other breakfast items - not good for allergy sufferers. Nuts should be kept covered and separated - it is an air born allergy and can easily kill via anaphylaxis!Pancake machine maker made pancakes that tasted like uncooked rubber.Alternative milk provided. Apple & orange juice yummy.

Was served a sandwich (probably had been microwaved and sitting on the kitchen counter for a while) that was rock hard and impossible to chew. Also the service was late, I had to enquire about the order (which they probably had forgotten)

I stayed 1 night at Marriott Leicester and had dinner at their restaurant … what a mistake… There were big groups and they did not seem to be organized for this … they closed the kitchen for about 1h so they could serve the groups and then reopened. Obviously not enough staff on that evening … very noisy … and the food came finally 30 min after I ordered … it could have been great but was cold and ravioli were extremely dry … I asked for a little cream to add on … they accepted but never brought it … It was not the same experience back in October 2022… I guess tonight was just a unexpected overload …

The kitchen restaurant is a nice place to be. I had a few different meals here and they were all to a great standard. While in the restaurant I wanted to order from both the restaurant menu and the room menu, the staff in the restaurant were more the happy for me to do this, despite the menus being different. The staff are very friendly and accommodating in particularly Iffat, nothing was too much trouble for her and she went out of her way to make sure all our needs were met. She seemed to have a good rapport with the other customers in her care. Elliot was also very friendly and wanted to make sure we had everything we needed. I stayed at this hotel for a week and everything was to satisfaction. The rooms are clean, well kept, and maintained. The beds are very comfortable, the shower is powerful and the reception staff are very friendly.

We were staying here. I thought the place was OK. I liked their tofu curry and the vegan lasagne.thought the hallumi fries were OK. We spent around 25 which felt a bit expensive given what we got but I might be a cheap person!I would only come here of I was staying at the hotel. I would not come out of my way to dine here.

Stayed with friends and family at the Marriott and had breakfast here. The lady that served us was lovely. Nothing was too much trouble and we were well looked after including the kids. Food was good and would go again.

I’m in their Lobby now. For a hotel it’s pretty good, but that’s about it. There’s a reasonable menu for a week.

Lovely food

The food is extremely overpriced for what you receive. I ordered my steak medium rare and it was served to me well done. Portions are very small and the meat quality was poor. No flavour and chewy. If you are staying in the hotel I would avoid.
