We travelled 3 hours to visit this restaurant and it was worth every minute and mile to get there. The steaks we both had were cooked to perfection and delicious. The service from all the team made for an unforgettable evening and the marvelous Reno was definitely the host with the most. Sublime is the word that describes our evening and we are already planning a repeat journey to Leicester just to come back to this gem.

BEST italian in Leicester! Me and my friends visit Oggi at least once a month. We come back time and time again because of the incredible food and the fantastic customer service! Rino is such a great man always happy and going above and beyond for his customers and his team are so welcoming & brilliant! The food is unreal - if you want authentic italian with an elegant setting … this is the place to go!!

We visited Oggi ( meaning today) on a cold November evening. The restaurant was brimming with people already at 6.45, so much so we skipped down to a local for 29 minutes until our table became available. The owner f the restaurant brought us delicious olives and bruschetta while we studied the menu. We were a table of 3 couples, four of whom had been close uni mates of 40 years. There was lots to catch up on, tears and laughter and clinking of glasses. The service was professional as yoi would expect from a good Italian restaurant. I am hard to please. I love good food, cooked well and this food was certainly the most delicious Italian I have eaten. Fat, sweet scallops in their shells, grilled with butter, cream and fine cheese. Rich and delicious. Fat, juicy king prawns cooked to perfection in a spicy tomato and garlic sauce. Thank goodness for the bread to mop up the delicious flavours. We ate pasta Oggi- linguini with seafood, fresh cannelloni with ricotta and spinach, the best I have eaten, with such fresh flavours. We had fungi risotto - with truffle oil and a portion big enough to feed two! We chose an organic Nero D’Avola from a single estate in Sicily. It was superb. Our host sang to us, recited beautiful poetry and brought a tear to our eyes with his generosity of sprit and honesty. I think each of us loved our experience and came away with a warm spot in our hearts for Reno and his superb Oggi, We will be back, for sure.

Authentic and amazing Italian food! The service was excellent and the atmosphere was great. Reno was so welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. I dined with three friends, pre concert. Everything was amazing from the moment we walked in! Made to feel welcome with friendly staff and olives given to us. All of the ingredients are super fresh and all the dishes were delicious. The lasagne was the best I’ve ever had!

Absolutely incredible. My first time at Oggi and we were welcomed with open arms!We booked a table for my birthday and the staff and Rino made it very special.I was given extra of something I enjoyed, our table shared a limoncello and I was given a tiramisu all as birthday treats.Not only did the staff make everything special and welcome, but the FOOD!!Absolutely delicious.We had the burrata to start, I had the Spaghetti Oggi which I highly recommend.Fantastic restaurant for all occasions.

Our first time visiting Leicester. We called in at 1.50 pm on a Saturday. A few tables were occupied. We were turned away on the basis it was “too late”. I could understand if they were full up and rushed off their feet or we turned up at 2.50 pm but that was not the situation. We will be visiting Leicester frequently in the future but not this establishment

Found this great Italian restaurant while dropping our son off at university. All pasta dishes were excellent along with a great bottle of wine. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and the owner came along and sang a few songs, even America the Beautiful. What a great experience. Will visit again as we visit our son. Thanks for a great experience!

It's a fantastic Italian restaurant. The staff is absolutely wonderful. Reno is so fun and helpful, and if you are lucky, he will sing you a song , he has a great voice. The Bruchetta delicious. Panna Cotta delightful and wonderful tiramisu. The good is great, but the staff really added to the fantastic experience.

We have eaten here several times before concerts at the De Montford Hall.The service is swift if they know you are going to a concert and the food is always delicious. You need to book a table on concert nights.
