Visited on Wednesday 29/06 ordered fish but had ran out. So had two scampi and chips, chips did not seem to be fresh (not hot and crispy) the third meal was sausage and mash. Only half of one of the sausages was eaten as they seemed hard and tough. Overall meals were poor. Less than two hours later the person who had the sausage was being sick and had diarrhoea. He was unwell most of the night and stayed in bed today. The only other food he had that day was weetabix and toast for breakfast. So no will never be back

The booking process was a little frustrating as the time slots were very limiting. I was booking for dinner, wanting to arrive at around 5:30pm but timeslots only started at 6pm. That said, the overall experience was excellent. My son, who is a wheelchair user, and I had great food, very reasonably priced and was very tasty. Excellent value for money. The staff were extremely friendly and courteous and we felt very comfortable, not rushed at all and well taken care of. I will definitely be coming back.

Food was really good and the staff were so welcoming. Seating outside and the seating inside was not cramped with plenty of space between tables. We will definitely return.

This is getting to be very hit and miss for the standard of food being produced.last time we went the food was fine but today it was way below par, cremated onion rings over cooked steak and chicken, missing items and the wife's burger came out on a plastic dish. Felt sorry for the young girl as she was the only one serving and was having to dash round. Looking at the other food coming out it look to be the same standard as ours. Would we go again maybe but next time if it was the same would complain to the manager and not just mention it to the server.

Not having been here for several weeks due to having COVID we were delighted to visit again this evening. Our meals were delicious and well presented, the tables spotless and the staff a credit to the training of the Manager, Mark. We look forward to our next visit!

We have dined here many times since the Covid restrictions were lifted and have come to treat it as a second home. The food is fabulous and the staff - led by Mark - always provide the highest of service. Here's to the next visit soon!

In my opinion the new menu isn't as good or as comprehensive as the old menu. But organisationally - there are clearly some problems. The restaurant was either overbooked or understaffed. The food quality was adequate but far below previous standards experienced here. The burgers and buns were over done. We ordered 5 mains, one of which was comprised of a collection of 3 starters as one of the meal deals; All of this requested to come as main meals. For some reason after 45 mins (approx), one of those three starter elements came first and then nothing else for a further 45 minutes, and then only after requests to two separate members of staff. I stress the staff were great and clearly doing the best they could. We got the impression the kitchen was simply overloaded. The overall experience was lacking in what we have come to expect from the Old Vicarage.

The atmosphere was amazing including music and well done events . The staff put loads of effort in the job that they are doing and it is very family friendly. They have got a big,nice beer garden .
