Incredible service and great atmosphere. The tasting menus are so inventive. I've been for three different seasons and each time have really enjoyed the food here. Excellent veg and vegan options too.

Wonderful tasting menu and wine paring. Delicious, innovative food and friendly, knowledgeable service staff. Chef Keith should be on Great British Menu or similar.

There aren't many tasting menus in Leicester, and I'm glad 263 has filled the gap! The food is inventive and the price is more than affordable. I've been a few times now and I haven't been disappointed. It's nice to try different types of food that aren't sold anywhere else in the city. I have a dairy allergy and they always accommodate it, including a delicious pudding rather than a bland sorbet like most other restaurants. ?

Yes, they have it all. A treat for your senses. They dishes bring some experimenation without creating nonsensical. The cocktails were delicious.Kid-friendliness: My 7 years old kid is really well behaved and he is used to restaurants and having and android tab or ipad close will do.

First visit tonight, been recommended by a couple of friends, so thought we would give it a try. We were not disappointed...We chose the 5 course blind taster menu. Given the choice of main...pork,chicken or vegan.Wow!!!!! Each course was superb. The service was excellent, attentive staff. Each course flowed nicely, and the table next to us had the wine pairing, which they said was great.A good wine and beer selection.Very impressed and highly recommended. A good idea to book a table as Friday and Saturday are very busy. Pleasantly surprised when the bill came, absolute bargain for the quality of food and service.

Excellent! Had the 8 course menu with wine pairing and everything was delicious. The staff were really nice too. My husband had the meat eaters menu and loved it. I'm vegetarian so was given the vegan menu but with dairy products - this was perfect for me and I'm so glad they offer this option.

Absolutely superb 5 course blind tasting menu. The smokey potato dish was incredible. We added the wine pairings and they complimented perfectly. Attentive service. Prices very reasonable for this kind of fine dining experience. We will definitely return.

Exquisite tasting menu at a pretty fair price. Really glad we took the wine pairing option too, they were all great choices and complemented each course perfectly.I asked for a veg or fish option tasting menu when I booked, and this was honoured even though there was a blind tasting menu on that night. The sea bass main they produced for us was amazing.Delicious cocktails too; we had the tequila & rhubarb, and the cucumber & dill ones.

We visited this place once before (about 18 months ago) since then it's had a bit of a make over but I'm pleased to say one thing that hasn't changed is the quality. We had the 8 course tadting menu last night and every course was delicious, as a veggie it's such a great thing not to be an afterthought. It feels like a proper treat, the staff are quietly attentive, it's a nice environment but the star is the food.Don't miss it.

It’s been a long time since I have written anything here: covid, life and combinations of circumstances conspired against doing so. However… We have been to Restaurant263 quite often since it opened. We were fans of Keith when he cooked in The White Peacock so we had to try his food in his own restaurant. It has always been good, usually very good and it and the restaurant has been pretty consistently improving since opening week. However, on Saturday night last the stars and the moon must have aligned: it was magical. We opted for the 6-course menu: increasing age has not dulled but it has shrunk our appetites but I treated myself to the ‘extra’ course: scallops and cauliflower. The opening snacks were lovely: the corn cone delicate, creamy and ‘corny’, the tartlet a mouthful of thin friable pastry and a balanced explosion of acidity, fruit and spice, and the hash brown with gherkin chutney and cheese another delicately balanced morsel to tantalise and whet the appetite. The 2nd course was where the real magic started: tomato, mackerel and feta. John Torode opined that fish and cheese should never be on a plate together. He was so wrong! This was a plate of food which made me laugh: it was sublime. I had the scallops next: 2 perfectly cooked well caramelised but still bouncy scallops with cauliflower a multitude of ways. Delicious. The next course was ‘Spuds, onions and chives’: this was a masterclass in what can be achieved with simple ingredients: utterly divine. The 4th course – the only course with a non-plant ingredient was ‘Potato/Kimchi/Sriracha’ with pork, chicken or cod. I had the cod (perfectly cooked) and She Who Must Be had the chicken (utterly delicious). All in all, another dish of delight: the spice of the sriracha complimented and did not overpower the dish. The pudding of strawberry, basil and buttermilk yoghurt looked wonderful on the plate and was delicate and refreshing and the petit fours a beautiful coda to the meal. The wine list has expanded and they offer wine for each of the 6 or 8 courses on the two menus. These have been consistently excellent matches. The front of house staff have also consistently upped their game since the restaurant opened and on Saturday night there absolutely ‘on point’. Have I any quibbles? Well only two about the food: the hash brown could have been crunchier (and that’s quibbling) and I would have liked either less scallop or more cauliflower (and that is most definitely a first world comment!) With regard to the wine, there was no wine pairing with the scallops but I had a class of the Chapel Down Bacchus (delicious and a bargain) and we did not think the pink zinfandel matched the pudding but food/wine pairings are very subjective and the next diner may think it perfect. An almost perfect evening: we can wait to find an excuse to go back!
