Chips were okay,shame once I’d got home the rest of my order wasn’t there; not going to make a trip back for a battered sausage,also whilst in the shop, I asked for curry sauce, which was forgotten and has to ask again. Looks like this has happened before reading previous reviews. Maybe some staff training.This place must be raking it in, basically paid £10 for some chips

Ordered ch/m pie, chips, fish cake, battered sausage, mini fish, half fried chicken and curry sauce. Got home mini fish and fish cake missing! Called them up, explained what was missing tbf they said come back to collect it. No apology ! On arrival the owner said the young boy who served you put it in your bag. It must have fell out in your car, have you checked your car ? I thought how rude and embarrassing, like I was trying to try and get a free fish and fish cake. I wouldn’t even waste the petrol ! The food was left on the counter for me to pick up with again no apology ! this is your error, yes you gave us what we paid for and free chips and curry sauce but the service was terrible. When you make a mistake own it and deal with it without blaming the customer who did nothing wrong ! Get a grip guys… you’ll be loosing customers if you don’t buck your ideas up from the state of your reviews, which I’ve only just seen today but I can understand why… disgusting service and attitude. Where’s your integrity as a business?

We bought from here on Monday lunchtime 13/11/23 and I have never seen anything so poor in my life. The fish had thick batter that was rock hard, not crispy, but so hard it was difficult to break in to. The fish inside had to be scraped out and was very thin and dry. It was so bad I didn’t eat any of it. Even my dogs wouldn’t eat it. For the price charged it’s disgraceful and disgusting. If the weather had been better I’d have taken it back. We use Whetstone usually but they were closed. I will remember to never buy fish from Blaby chippy ever again.

The portions they offer are definitely quantity over quality. It's as if they prioritize filling on portion size rather than focusing on the actual taste of the food.Another disappointment was the battered sausage. Way to small.The staff was friendly and the place was clean, but unfortunately, that couldn't make up for the shortcomings in the food.

I’ve been coming to this chippy for a few weeks now, the food varies the chips sometimes taste off cardboard and the pies taste like they’ve been reheated but something that is consistently tasty is the fish. From a customer service point of view, every week I normally have this really nice smiley girl, she was so lovely and while she was a bit slower than the others she was so nice. But for the past two weeks I’ve not seen her and hear she no longer works there. So now I’m served by a girl who looks so sad and down, it’s clear management don’t look after her. But it annoys me because it seems this business is more about the money than there customer service and there staff. They only do take out food despite having a table they can put up as I remember the days of sitting there. They have a high price for some meh food but I went because it’s not to far away and the customer service was really nice. I’m not sure if I’ll return as it was nice to walk through the door and asked how my days was and be met with smiles but it seems things have turned down hill.

The actual fish and chips was delicious, however the service was disappointing. The girl serving us wasn't friendly or welcoming at all. It was the first time we have used this chippy and the woman serving us didn't smile once. She did not appear happy to serve us or work there at all. We smiled and appeared cheerful hoping for a smile back but we were only greeted with a very negative look. The fish and chip meal that we usually have elsewhere also came to alot of money in comparison to other shops but we were less worried about that. We were more concerned about the attitude and the welfare of the server. We probably will not be returning.

The best thing was the curry sauce. Very efficient staff but no idea why people are queuing up for this poor quality food. The prices have gone up and the quality down. Normally go Narborough as they as so much better quality including price but went Blaby as it was easier on the way home for once. First of all before I come to the food, the staff there don't even know their prices. They don't check on the till or a calculator, the older lady just struggled to add my order up in her head as you could see in her face. In the end she just said £11. I was curious but paid the £11. As they were doing my order, I added it up myself. It came to £9 and then just one small curry sauce to add on, I'm pretty sure a small curry sauce isn't £2. So if you do go, make sure you add up the amount first before you pay. Secondly the chips were borderline cooked. The main part of the meal! I just won't bother next time and go out my way for a decent chip shop.

Went today chips tasted disgusting a tiny sausage and minimal chips. To top it off found a black hair went back got refunded no apology went somewhere else ??.
