I always love coming to the Dove. Food great but unfortunately the service was a bit slow today. The waitresses were not as attentive as usual and there was bit of fussing around us where they were going to seat late bookings. I’m just hoping it was a one off.

Very welcoming landlord, made to feel at home immediately. Extensive menu beyond your standard pub grub. We did the Tuesday Tapas offer - lovely food, big portion sizes & wide variety. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful pub that leads out back to a relaxed comfortable restaurant. Staff were very friendly, and was made to feel comfortable about an allergy in the party. Went for Sunday roast so didn’t get the full experience of the menu, which is why I couldn’t give a five star. Portion were very generous I had the beef and my lord they do not skimp on the slices, and it was perfectly cooked,I couldn’t finish all my meat , which is un unusual, gravy was beautiful and smooth ( I’m a big fan of gravy so this was a big tick ) . Veg was veg lol , all in all one of the better roasts I’ve had out , definitely the best in the last few years , so where other places are cutting back on quality or quantity, here is doing neither, will definitely re-visit to sample the main menu. Very comfortable restaurant not squashed in and high ceiling so not loud . Would recommend

Food was excellent. Seabass was amazing and the porkbelly was beautiful. The guy who served us was helpful and really friendly.
The food was delicious and good vegetarian selection. Pricing was reasonable. We'll come back again (especially if they have the camembert burger)

Really tasty food. Good portion size. Friendly staff. I had the lasagne and garlic bread. Rich tasty meat sauce. My friend had the monkfish and said the sauce was delicious. She was full. I had a mini pud and hot drink. Only gave 4 stars because there’s was only 1 decaf coffee option. - called it an americano. I suspect a sachet of instant decaf coffee with hot water. Good they had a decaf coffee but a proper ground coffee and choice to have a latte etc would have been preferable.
