I chose a salad which was missing some of the advertised ingredients and very poor value for money. I left most of it and was informed by the server I’d basically left it too late to complain!In response to the managers reply I DID mention this to the server when the plates were collected and was rebuffed so I do not feel this issue was taken seriously.

Staff were lovely and very attentive. Food was very nice. Most of us had Sunday lunch. Only issue was the parsnips were very large and undercooked/hard and the gravy was very bland and watery in flavour. More cheese sauce on the cauliflower cheese would have been nice as hardly any, and that’s what we like about cauliflower cheese. Cabbage was gorgeous and all other veg lovely. Meat juicy and tender. Portion size was huge!! We couldn’t eat all of it. Not complaining though!! After letting dinner go down we had a dessert….2 sundaes which we shared between the 4 of us as very full and they were lovely. Nice that it was ok to do my elderly mother a small portion of just ice cream. Nothing was too much trouble which is brilliant in this day and age. Thank you.

WE ARRIVED AND THE PERSON AT THE WELCOME POINT WAS ON THE PHONE. WE PATIENTLY WAITED AND HE THEN SHOWN US TO OUR TABLE. OUR ORDER WAS TAKEN IN A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE IF THE EVENINGS OFFERS WERE EXPLAINED. FOOD WAS SERVED WITHIN AN ACCEPTABLE TIME. FOOD LOOKED NICE. I ASKED FOR NO MUSHROOM. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE IF I WAS OFFERED SOMETHING ELSE INSTEAD. STEAK I ASKED FOR WAS OK, A BIT CHEWY - QUALITY COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER. IT WAS COOKED MEDIUM, I HAD ASKED FOR MEDIUM RARE SO IT WAS OVERCOOKED FOR MY LIKING. HAD COFFEE AFTERWARDS, IT WAS SUPPLIED WITH A BOURBON BISCUIT WHICH WAS ODD. WOULD HAVE BEEN NICER TO BE PRESENTED WITH A WRAPPED BISCUIT LIKE A BORDER BISCUIT. THEY WERE SLOW AT BRINGING US THE BILL, WE DID GET IMPATIENT AS WE WERE READY TO LEAVE. OVERALL WE WERE HAPPY AND ENJOYED OUR EVENING.

The waiters were absolutely lovely. There was 10 of us and every single one (including the 2 kids which is hard to please) loved their meal! It’s such a lovely atmosphere. I couldn’t recommend enough.Dietary restrictions: Great gluten free menu!

We visited for Sunday Lunch. Service was good. However, overall food experience was disappointing. The meat appeared to be processed, machine sliced and the gravy was a hot water offering. Will not visit again. Very disappointing.
