Pleasant atmosphere in small pub with bar area and adjoining restaurant room. Open fire in bar area. Excellent food on the pricey side, but great friendly service. Food was fab. Bar menu (sandwiches and pizzas available in the restaurant at lunchtimes in addition to main menu). Good coffee. Plentiful parking.Vegetarian options: Aubergine "steak" with garlic butter, served with chips grilled tomato, sauté mushrooms and charred lettuce was particularly good.

We booked last minute as a large group of 22 celebrating a 50th, the food was amazing, service from a wonderful woman who was great. Bar staff were great. The communication surrounding the booking and whilst we were there was great. Thank

Remember this is a pub. Now forget your idea of a pub. This place is upmarket with 2 defined areas. Drinking/socialising and dining.We dined. We were thoroughly pampered by the staff. The food was of a superior standard. They offered a selection of pizzas that were cooked outside in a proper pizza oven. Even though I can't stand pizzas, I was impressed.Drink is plentiful with everything on offer from real ale to wine/spirits. All to a decent standard although the Bass was a little disappointing but that's me being an ultra critical real ale expert.This has been added to our list of places to eat.
