Ordered a takeaway for two 18/01/23Both pleasantly impressed and happy to find such good quality fresh ingredients, both had the Gorkhali Chefs Special Lamb and Chicken along with mushroom rice and naan bread, plus poppadoms and chutney to start with.Arrived within the estimated time and hot!We shall definitely be ordering again and look forward to exploring more from the menu! Thank you ??

We celebrated Christmas day by having out Christmas dinner here, Gorkha catered for all of us, some of whom are vegetarian, others vegan and one of our party has gluten intolerance. There was something for each of us meat eaters too! The menu was well thought out and the food was delicious and served piping hot freshly cooked. Children were welcomed and were made a fuss of by the staff which was lovely! We had a wonderful dining experience, we went to Gorkha last Christmas, this Christmas and am sure we will be back for next Christmas, and visits before too! Many thanks to all the staff for such a wonderful Christmas Lunch.

Ventured out on a cold midweek evening for the first time since moving to the area recently to be warmly greeted by the proprietor and offered a table close to a comforting radiator in an otherwise empty restaurant to enjoy a rare treat. The sight of empty tables is I suppose, indicative of the times we are living in with many people struggling with the ever increasing cost of living making eating out way down the list of priorities.Perused over the menu whilst munching the obligatory poppadoms and decided on two starters, one of a thinly sliced potato bite and the other a vegetable filled dumpling both served with a pleasant chutney which were very moreish and generous so much so that we asked if we could take the last few remaining bites home to enjoy the following day.The mains of lamb LEKALI KHANA and chicken NEPALI KAHANA with a shared rice and a coriander and keema naan were interesting, all of which was washed down with several bottles of Gurkha beer. With the bill coming in at just under £70 for the two of us we both felt it was good value, but as I said earlier it is indeed a rare treat, one which unfortunately can't be repeated regularly as much as we would like too despite the good quality, great taste and excellent rapport with the owner, but we will revisit when we are able.If your purse strings allow, I'd strongly recommend that more South Wigston locals to dine at this lovely eatery. As for the potato bites the following day, pan fried in a little cold pressed rapeseed oil....just as delicious as the night before.Thank you Chef.
