Git a table, but then didn't stay to eat it was overwhelmingly loud for my partner who has hearing impairment. Had to leave. Realise its a historic building with exposed brick and tiles but needs some soft furnishings for acoustic dampening.

First time going. Really lovely place, good food and lovely little shops. Wonderful garden centre. Didn't get to see the onsite brewery as it wasn't open but aim to in the future.Parking: Right next to garden centre. Plenty of spacesKid-friendliness: Menu for children plentiful.

My very first visit to this lovely place. And I can honestly say that I will go back again. When I'm next down visiting my old Army

Disappointed. There was a wait for a table. There was a wait for food. Most of the menu was not available as they were missing basics like bread. There was no table service. The tables were too close together. You had to fight to get out to the counter to order and people were dragging outside clothes over the freshly wiped tables.

Went today for the first time, there was a lot of items not available, we were told prior to ordering what was not available, not an issue at first as what we’d planned to order wasn’t affected. Made our order and sat down awaiting our food. Someone came over a few minutes later to inform us that the food we ordered was now also not available, we then had to order something else. Understand places run out of items but there was a lot unavailable. The food that we did get was nice enough so no complaints there, portion sizes pretty decent and priced well.Soft drinks are incredibly overpriced; £2.50 for a 250ml coke and £3.20 for a 330ml Fanta is insane.

It was my mum and dad's 60th wedding anniversary and we had a cream tea, home made anniversary cake and champagne, the staff made such a fuss over them as they always do, I would like to say a very big thank you to Aisha and her team for making such a special day even more special

We came for lunch and were really happy to find more gluten-free options than most Issy did us proud at the desk to make sure my wife had a Gluten free, fat free, onion free lunch. Steak burger, i had the pie. Also, the sweets were more than just the normal brownies. Strawberry flan, Lemon ? flan was just what she likes. Apple pie for me. Go before 12. Otherwise, you will be queuing like people were at 1pm. We're definitely coming again. Issy was just Lovely, smile, efficient etc etc

Just a really good place to eat. Service is brilliant, soon as walked in menus brought to our table the food ordered came very quick, and food great. Somedays can get very full of people, sometimes had to queue and wait for tables but worth the wait if that happens to you, chairs available to sit on.After walked around the other shops got bargain plants.Parking: Plenty of room to park, even on busy days.Kid-friendliness: Most I noticed went for the large burgers.Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of room to adjust chairs around table to move in wheelchair.

Emailed a polite complaint to have a response totally disregarding what the original complaint was referring to, emailed a response, still 4 days passed and no reply. If the opening hours state last orders at 16.30 and open until 17.00 as a customer that is what I expect, because it was so quiet staff wanting to go home earlier than close shouldnt make customers feel uncomfortable.

I visited today with my Aunt. I ordered the pie lamb and mint, my Aunt wanted a salad with grilled chicken and no dressing. She came to the till to place her order and was quite specific in her requirements. Grilled chicken and salad. No dressing. Both meals were about £15.00 each. When our food arrived I couldn’t help but feel disappointed. I’m not certain if the pies were home cooked, but they didn’t look or taste like it. They resembled the cheap round pies you get in the freezer shops. The chips were frozen chips very anaemic and some were still hard, the gravy lumpy and tasteless. But it was edible and I was hungry. This alone would not give me cause to complain. However My Aunts salad was shocking. Just a plate of lettuce, dozens of croutons and about a small breast of chopped up grilled chicken. She complained, where was the tomatoes, cucumbers onions, why was there croutons and tons of them. It was not what she had ordered and she wanted a refund. She informed the staff who all are quite young (and lovely, no fault with them) Then I assume what was the manager, came out. She came to our table and began to argue with us about what we had ordered. She could not get her head around us asking for a grilled chicken and salad. Insisting that’s not what we had asked for? she wasn’t even there at the time of ordering, and at this point hadn’t even spoken to the member of staff who took our order (we pointed her out to her). . She then started telling us we had ordered a ceaser salad. At no point had anyone mentioned a ceaser salad, not even the girl on the till. We again informed her we had ordered grilled chicken and salad, she then stared reeling off all the grilled chicken dishes telling us we couldn’t have ordered it, because they didn’t do it! This made no sense, if you can grill a chicken, and have all the ingredients for a salad, changing a ceaser salad to grilled chicken and salad is unbelievably simple. At this point feeling we was getting nowhere with the argumentative and unmovable manager my auntie said if you don’t do it, why did she take my order for it and have me pay for it? Why not just say we don’t do it and I’d have ordered something different. She couldn’t argue with that. To us it was very simple, the young girl on the till had put our order down as a ceaser salad, without the dressing. A very simple error on her part. The manager begrudgingly sent the money back and took the bread and lettuce back. However I then had to sit and eat my now cold lunch whilst the staff were talking and staring at us. My Aunt went without! What a shocking way to treat your customers. Tbh we did stay a good hour chatting after to make a point. I cannot say all the food is not value for money here, as I have eaten here before, as has my Auntie and we both had a lovely meal. The place is lovely and the views are stunning. Today however sadly both the food and service was poor, it has put me off returning. I prefer home cooked food, fresh potato chips.

This was my first time at this restaurant. We stopped by for lunch after a walk around the nearby nature reserve. I was a little disappointed at the vegetarian options, because although they do have a lot of vegi choices, the vast majority of them feature halloumi, which I don’t like. I went for the Mediterranean jacket potato, which was really nice and has feta cheese instead, and I’ll definitely have that again if I return. There is a good range of options for meat eaters and vegetarians who like halloumi, but very little for vegans. The restaurant itself is very nicely laid out with a large outdoor area, which was lovely on a warm day. The service was quick and polite, the food was delicious. The restaurant is dog friendly.
