Wow! What looks like a nice chippy is a nice chippy with the added plus they have a huge separate vegan menu. We had the vegan pies, both lovely and nice chips n sauce. So many other choices could have had too. Amazing, why aren't more chippies this vgn friendly. Super friendly too, very nice gentlemen (owner?) looked after us with care thank you.We are not in this town much but will def return here next time!Dietary restrictions: Lots of vegan options

Ordered online, but the delivery driver took the food and claimed it was delivered. 100% not Captain Cods fault but they still offered to replace the food for free. Brilliant people and food. Highly recommend! ?

First time trying Captain Cod. Bought 3 lots of cod & chips & all I can say is WOW...the best cod & chips we've had in years. Lovely clean shop/restaurant,very friendly staff & lovely freshly cooked food. We will definitely be going back again. ??

Popped in for lunch whilst visiting/working last week. One of the best chippies I've ever had. Cod, chips, battered sausage, gravy and curry sauce: all absolutely sublime. Friendly, welcoming staff too. Just wish we'd had time to eat in!

Popped in as we were passing - what a lucky move!The staff were attentive from the moment we entered. The cafe was clean and there were several copies of the menu on each table.There appeared to be lots of vegan options but I was here for sausage and chips. It was delicious. The chips were crispy and lightly browned, very appetising. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Chips are my favourite take out meal but not my husband's, however he said he enjoyed his meal too - chips and mushy peas.We were the last people in the shop, near closing but the owner was lovely, telling us we could sit after we had finished and there was no need to rush. He chatted with us and is obviously a customer friendly person. It's a pity we live so far away because this could definitely be my regular!

In town after attending a local event, bit pecking so popped in. Tasty fish and chips, very tasty, crispy batter, cooked to order.
