Really genuinely annoyed ! I booked a table last night for 21 St Dec . I was told that they could just fit us on on a table of 5 . We turned up and were sat literally by the toilet ! The seating was really uncomfortable !As the night wore on it was more than apparent they had other tables free all night ! We spent £280 and I have to say it was not a great night at all ! I won't be returning to this restaurant. It has had a change of management and I am not impressed to say the least!!

The service is good, fast and friendly staff. The food was very quick to come out and lovely food. We had a table of 8 including teenagers and everyone was happy.

The food was ok and the portions were huge. Being just before Christmas it was very busy and quite squashed and the staff were rushed off their feet. Friends had the set menu which never seemed to stop coming and the portions were enormous. It was quite expensive for the one course that we had but perhaps one of the set menus is a better option.

Unfortunately we would not be going back again. Priority was given to people ordering takeaway. We waited just over an hour for our first course. Then the same for our second course. We nearly gave up then but eventually the main course arrived with one of the meals missing. All the staff just kept saying we are busy with takeaway food. Never had problems when Simon had the restaurant.

It was a birthday meal, (mine) the food was slightly cold. Very over priced for what was ordered. Eat in there a number of time that's why we went for my birthday meal. The food and prices were double the price. Won't be going back there .

This Chinese has really gone down hill the food just tastes cheap microwaved and has no taste whatsoever an absolute waste of money

We had a takeaway from China Royal tonight, the service was fantastic and the food was gorgeous. Having just come out of hospital , my mum stated “it was a fantastic treat ! “ . We had beef in ginger with spring onion and duck in plum sauce and prawn toast . 10/10 on quality and taste .Would highly recommend to anyone .

Excellent meal, good size portions, we ate in the restaurant which clean and spacious was plenty of choice, service was friendly and polite, even the boss spoke to customers. Would recommend and definitely go there again, you got what you paid for quality food and on the fab dining meal out.
