We popped in this afternoon for my birthday lunch. We were looking forward to trying the vegetarian carvery. The meat alternative was nut roast. Unfortunately it tasted awful and seemed to be full of small fruit of some sort, no taste or signs of nuts. The Yorkshire pud was heavy and very dry, the roast potatoes were dry and bland and the only part of the whole dinner I found nice was the mashed potatoes, I had to leave the rest. So, a birthday meal of mash potatoes for £11. I'm afraid I won't be having a carvery here again. Photo of fruity nut roast.

Dropped in for tea with a slice of apple pie. The tea was good but so it should be at £4.80 for two!!! The pie was sadly very disappointing. Not fresh but frozen with a peculiar perfumie taste. The service was OK. Won't waste our money next time.

Been today for carvery followed by coffee. Everyone nice as usual but a special shout out to Liz who served us both times. She was lovely. Very pleasant and patient with two doddery old ladies Thanks very much Liz .

Good restaurant. Tables cleaned quite fast during busy periods. Food came faster than was advised which was good. Food reasonably priced and was nice. Food wanted wasn't available which was disappointing. Friendly staff that gave us useful information at time of ordering. Plenty of options on menu

Called today and both had the carvery. Delicious meats (turkey, gammon or beef) fresh seasonal vegetables, huge Yorkshire pudding, excellent roast and mash. Would definitely return

Love this garden centre, so big and fun for all. However, was really let down by the cafe experience. We waited a long time for our order which consisted of 3 coffees, a bottled ice tea and 3 cakes. 2 of the coffees were acceptable but not the best. The 3rd (which was meant to be a caramel latte with soya milk) was just hot flavoured milk. This was founded out 10 minutes after it was made as it was too hot to drink straight away. We went back and told the barista there was no coffee in it at all. Instead of making a new one (like any cafe/restaurant would) they just added coffee to it. At this point We didn’t want to stay much longer so took the drink. Very upsetting as apart from that, have had a lovely day at the garden centre.

We used to visit regularly pre covid so today’s visit was the first in a while. I don’t know what’s happened but the food today was bland to say the least. We ordered a ham and a prawn sandwich platter. It just wasn’t as good as it used to be. This with two glasses of Diet Coke (£2 each) came to over £18. We wouldn’t rush back. On a positive note, the staff were lovely

The best "full English" that I have had for quite some time, my wife had a filled omelet which was a meal in itself. Excellent food very well presented by excellent staff. Another big plus for me was the fact that this restaurant has a separate dog friendly section so we don't have to eat with other peoples pets.

Beautiful scrambled eggs on toast and bacon sandwich. Good quality food with hot cups of tea. Restaurant was clean and spacious.

Stopped on the way to skegness for a break. Such a large site had a wander trying to find it. Food was served quick and was tasty. No decaf coffee offering which was disappointing. Could do with a menu of drinks. It said drinks on the board but didn't see it Fresh juice would also be nice. Approx 40 for 4 meals and drinks which is very reasonable. Would have liked a sweet breakfast option such as pancakes but very nice.

Having just visited this restaurant I'm very unsatisfied. Yes they have the "eat out to help out" but even at half price the food is not really worth it. The ladies at the till point we're lovely but the lady who brought out our food was not, it was as if it was all too much effort for her. Having gammon in a restaurant normally you would receive a cerated knife but we needed to ask for one and this proved a little hard for her, along with asking for salt and pepper we got told oh well the till staff should have given you that. A little smile wouldn't go a miss, even my 4 year old commented on her attitude. We will certainly not be returning.
