Old school restaurant experience, the service is exceptional and the food is delicious. I had the haddock with chips and curry sauce. Absolutely delicious. If I could improve anything it would be to have a hotter curry sauce with no raisins.

We are local residents and have eaten at the Ocean Fish Bar (Restaurant) for very many years and have never been disappointed. Fish is cooked in light batter to perfection every time. Would highly recommend. Staff cheerful, polite and very helpful.

Went in today with my partner who ordered 1 regular haddock for himself, then separately 1 cone for chips for me. After waiting and being handed our bag, I noticed only one box and went back to politely let the young worker know he’d forgotten my cone of chips. He told me I hadn’t asked for them separately so it’s all in the same box. I told him we didn’t ask for haddock and chips together, we ordered 1 haddock and the 1 cone of chips separate. He simply ignored this and replied back in my face ‘nope, you didn’t ask for it separate’. I told him they’re 2 separate meals on the menu and I’d have asked for it all together if I wanted it together. No matter what I said, he was incredibly rude and simply repeated over and over ‘nope, you didn’t ask for it separate’. He was unprofessional and provided poor customer service. As someone who works in customer service, I would’ve asked the customer if they wanted both items they ordered out together if I wasn’t sure, and if I had done this without asking, I would’ve apologised for my mistake and immediately rectified this without blaming the customer and telling them they’re wrong. Definitely will not be going back and the brunette man with blue eyes should be spoken to and taught basic manners and how to be professional. The actual meal was average and overpriced for the quality.

I had the OAP special, Haddock, chips, mushy peas, bread and butter and a pot of tea. Everything was perfect. The fish was cooked beautifully. Friendly staff and excellent relaxed atmosphere.
I had a delightful meal at Ocean Fish Bar. The chips and nuggets were delicious, and the waffles with ice cream for dessert were a sweet ending. Lydia, our server, was exceptionally friendly and helpful, making the experience even more enjoyable.Parking: Paid parking lot across the road. Free parking for blue badge holders.

Went to try the jumbo haddock which was nice but somehow I had assumed bigger, But was enough very quick service even though we were a walk in on Friday night.Atmosphere is good but it is hard to hear due to echo around room. Will go back but this time try skate wing which did look

Lovely restaurant with bar at the rear of the chip shop. Great service and better still fantastic fish and chips with a side. I chose curry sauce which was delicious and sweet with pieces of apple and sultanas. I should have rolled my fish over before taking the food photo !!
