The decor is a bit of a throwback but don’t let this stop you! Amazing food and such lovely staff members. Absolutely love the complimentary buttered bread and cups of tea too!

Again another fabulous evening if I could give it 6 stars I would.Top tip the small is medium the medium is large and the jumbo is Humongous. They've been here since 1946 so they must be doing something right. Thanks again we'll be back again

The smaller appetite menu, which os actually a good size, and a incredible bargain , £12.99 for a meal and a pudding and tea or coffee and bread and butter.Meal is filling I shared my desert with my son, have visited in past and definitely will return I chose the pie new potatoes and vegetables , sticky toffee pudding and custard.My son had medium fish and chips he also got bread and butter and a beer, it was about £31.00 all together.Kid-friendliness: Good resteraunt for family'sAlthough booking is recommend.

We queued to get in but it was so worth it!The fish was super crispy and the chips were divine!Finished off with a pot of tea! What more do you want after a walk down the front?We will definitely be back, it's our go to place to eat In Cleethorpes but next time I will make sure I have a reservation

Nostalgia trip for son, who lamented knickerbocker glory of his youth! Grandsons loved it and staff were excellent. One said 'best restaurant ever. Adult comment... Chips were very pale and tea quite tasteless. Nothing much had changed which was quite comforting.

Lovely meal,fish could have been a bit browner,waitress was a bit I could be somewhere better, customer next door to us got half way through her fish and then started complaining it tasted of bleach. Waitress didn't deal with complaint that great.waitress could then be heard in the kitchen about the bleachy tasting fish and her other colleagues, totally unprofessional.
Excellent fish and chips. Nice soft batter and fresh fish. Small portion was plenty enough. Bread and butter and a pot of tea included in the week day dinner time special, and a pudding!

Steels is one of the best fish & chip restaurants in the country (in my opinion). But they also serve a full menu with items like pie, lasagna and salads - there is something for everyone!Main courses are served with tea, bread and butter included, but the restaurant is fully licensed if you fancy something a little stronger!We always choose fish and chips, it’s available in different sizes to suit every appetite and is always good!

Great find, second time we have been here. We have tried the big name on the sea front and it isn’t a patch on Steeles. Attentive waitresses and large portions, my only criticism is I prefer my fish cooked without the skin on but that is personal preference. Portions are large, food well cooked and efficient service as well.
