5 Church View, BostonWe had a gorgeous meal at The Bull & Dog this evening, and honestly, we couldn’t fault a thing.
We made a last-minute booking and the landlady was so lovely and welcoming. It’s clearly a very popular pub, with a great atmosphere, but we were looked after from the moment we walked in.
I had the 12oz gammon topped with pineapple and a perfectly fried egg, served with chips, salad, onion rings, peas and mushrooms. Hubby went for the 16oz ribeye steak with all the same trimmings – and wow, the portions were so very generous!
The steak was cooked perfectly to medium rare, just how he likes it, and there was hardly an ounce of fat on it – absolutely spot on. The chips were hot and amazing – proper pub chips done right. Everything was cooked beautifully and arrived piping hot.
We finished with trifle for dessert, which could almost have been a sharer! Such a lovely way to end the meal.
If you’re anywhere near Freiston, we’d definitely recommend it. Great food, generous portions, lovely staff and a really enjoyable experience all round. We’ll definitely be back! xx

The Five Bells
1 Church Rd, Butterwick, BostonA fantastic pub, comfortable and cosy seating, a good atmosphere. The managers/staff are friendly and very helpful. We held a wake here, and the spread (which was very reasonably priced) was wonderful. Prices of drinks are also very good.
Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp up to the entrance for wheelchairs, and we had someone in our group with a wheelchair, and the access is very good.

Memory table set out wonderfully for me which was a lovely focal point near the tea / coffee for people to pass, explore and start conversations about mum ..Ample parking / great location which was perfect ,

Butterwick chippy

The Castle Inn
Wainfleet Rd, Haltoft End, BostonCalled in for a drink and meal as a walk in, very welcoming and service was friendly. Food was fantastic, fresh and priced very reasonable. Would definitely visit again and would recommend to others for great traditional British pub food.
