Stayed for work, Steve and team friendly, food A+, lager cold. Room clean, bed comfortable, after a long days work everything you need.Unfortunately I started too early for breakfast but if the evening meal was anything to go bye I missed out.

A gem of a good old school pub to the front of the building and then a lovely restaurant to the rear.I can’t comment on the rooms as I’ve never stayedGreat choice of beverages to suit anyoneThe food is lovely and plentiful and reasonably priced. The staff are very welcoming and friendly Steven (owner), Faye, and Amy thank you!!We have returned many times over the last two years without disappointment.Food & drinks: Excellent

The dirt on the sun shade plastic cover is filthy. There is grass growing all around the paving stones. The non music was very lound and utterly tuneless. There were only three other couples in this huge building. The food was just the opposite absolutely great...tasty and well presented Inside was a good deal cleaner and tidier but we took our well behaved dogs and it was exceptionally hot. It needs a lot of cleaning and tidying up and the fountain working. It could be a great place but it certainly needs a lot of effort..

What an amazing find! The food was beautiful, I thought I made the best tomato soup in the world, seems not! Lovely warm welcome and fabulous Sunday lunch, best I’ve had in a very long time .

We called in on the Black Bull Inn this evening as the hotel we were staying in just up the road had nothing appealing on their menu. We are so glad we found The Black Bull as we will definitely return whenever we are in the area, in fact we will opt to stay in their hotel next time. This pub is exceptional from having a very nice comfortable airy layout but managing a warm friendly atmosphere. The friendly staff are lovely and can't do enough to make you feel special and well looked after. The food is superb and there is plenty on the plate including the side orders which are very generous and the prices are astoundingly low for what you receive! We most definitely recommend a visit here. ?❤️

We just had our Easter Sunday Lunch in the restaurant. Our waitress was attentive and greeted us on arrivingShe told us when she handed us our menus of the couple items that were not available to order. Which is a refreshing change, usually you find when you ask for it.It wasn't rushed and intervals between each course were just right.Food was cooked nicely, not overcooked and plenty of it.Price was reasonable. Menu choice was good. Restaurant is very nicely furnishedFood & drinks: We went for Easter Sunday Lunch. Its a Pub in East Halton that offers Sunday Lunch. We did not stay here, we live local.

Kamer erg basic. Weinig keuze voor diner, vooral als je geen vlees eet. Geen ontbijt, wel koffie. Hele aardige mensen. 's Avonds heel gezellig met de locals.

Unfortunately ended up stopping here for one night and never again, after arriving we went into bar area to check in, after finally getting attention of bar staff we got a drink and told them we had booked a room and wanted to check in, , , , after a good while and a few more drinks and my colleague getting a bit miffed over an hour waiting we got shown to our rooms which is for want of better words, a run down building across car park, first impressions were to get out of there, it smelt of damp, paint hanging off walls looked like a building site, , not good at all, we were shown upstairs to rooms, grubby was first impression of room, single bed looked like it had come out of a skip, draws were of similar appearance, shower was OK, fact there was no door between bedroom and shower was a strange set up, room was what I would expect a cell to be like, it was so small when you opened door you looked at back of headboard, (this was actually hanging off bed) possibly out of another skip as nothing matched, as for bed I didn't actually climb in it I slept on top of it clothed as I wasn't prepared to put my body in it, my colleague was ready to leave as soon as he saw his room and only stayed as Unfortunately we had been drinking, (in bar waiting to be shown to rooms) on a plus note food was good in pub and staff friendly but never again, the laughable bit is owner was proud to tell us he had upgraded us as a third colleague hadn't turned up, god help us if he had! If I had of been in my own van I would of refused room and slept in that, possibly the worst I have had the misfortune of stopping in, how any site can advertise it as good is beyond me, do the booking sites actually look at what there selling? See attached picture of headboard fastening on bed!
