We went for dinner on a Saturday night. On arrival we felt it was a bit too brightly lit for a restaurant but we were led upstairs where it was a little more subdued. The staff were all friendly, helpful and attentive, and there were plenty of them. I had black pudding and haggis bon bons, and Mrs D had the cheese soufflé. Both were rich and full of flavour. For mains, I had the blade of beef and Mrs D had the salmon. Again, rich and full of flavour, and the mash was silky smooth. This was accompanied by a good quality bottle of Malbec (reasonably priced at £25) and followed by sorbet, cheeseboard, brandy, port and coffee. You could get an evening 2-course meal here for £30 or, as we did, go full in at £55pp. In my 15 years’ experience of eating out in Lincoln, Lawson’s is definitely in my top 3 dining experiences and I will be returning.

Wow, what a gem of a place. Arrived as a couple with our 8 month old on a Sunday, booking just 10 min before arrival. As soon as we entered the staff were so attentive and made us feel so welcome. We had the 3 course lunch menu and the chef has created some amazing dishes at such an affordable price. Nothing was too much for the staff on service and welcomed being able to tip them for how relaxed they made the whole experience. Highly recommend to anyone with young children that want to experience fine dining and still have those special meals out without the need for babysitters. Thank you Lawsons for giving us a fantastic end to our weekend break! You certainly did not disappoint...Kid-friendliness: Place suitable for pushchair storage, high chairs provided with spacious seating upstairs and a back access entrance for ease of getting out of the restaurant.

The best meal I have had in a very long time! The 3 course meal for £20 was brilliant value for money. Hands down was great quality food and service!

Had a great three course lunch yesterday. Service was exceptional, food served in good time. The portions were generous whilst leaving room for dessert! Cooked to perfection. Highly recommended. Warm welcome from the snowy Steep Hill! ?Vegetarian options: Also vegan choices.

Three course lunch for two. Amazing as always, good choice of courses and great flavours. I could have eaten the horseradish mash all day. Attentive and well timed waiting staff. Keep up the good standards. We'll be back.

It took us a while to get there, but we finally made it to Lawsons. Here’s what we had:? ????? ????? ??????? ?????? ??????? ???? ??????? ?????? ???? ????? ??????, ????? ??? ??????? ????????? ???? ??????? ?????, ???? ????? & ???? ?????? ??? ?????? ???? ????? ???? ????, ????? ?????, ????? ???????, ????? & ?????????? ?? ??? ???? ?????? ????? ???? ?????? ????????, ?????????? ?????????, ?????? ?????? ????? & ??????? ?????? ???? ????????? & ????????? ?????? ?????, ?????? ??? ??????? ????We couldn’t fault a thing at Lawson’s. The food was delicious and piping hot and didn't take long to arrive after ordering. We don’t normally have three courses because a starter and a main course fills us up, but we still felt comfortable after our desserts.⭐Would Recommend⭐
