We've come here several times, for coffee and cakes mostly. Today we had quiche, chips and salad and at £6.80 it's an absolute bargain. Quiche was a reasonable size and warm. Chips hot and plenty, even the salad looked colourful and presented nicely with a balsamic dressing. Cold drinks available and we were offered ice and straws. I called in for tea and a snack before a dance class. The service was friendly and efficient and the scone very tasty, and the employee on her way to clear the tables also greeted me with a smile. I'll be returning as it's a handy place to call into while shopping and has a bit more character than the chain coffee shops.
I've been to this cafe a few times over the last several months, the latest being this month. I usually have tea and a scone as a snack. The scones are good quality and tea is served in a teapot, which is always a plus point for me. A reasonable amount of tea and good presentation. I don't like the increasing tendency at some cafes for tea to be served as a teabag floating in a mug. The staff have always been polite, efficient and helpful on my visits.
