“New to the village, and with our son and daughter in law visiting for the first time, we decided to visit the local pub for a Sunday lunch. When booking (which I absolutely advise as all tables were full) I asked if they could cater for me as I am a coeliac. After receiving a solid confirmation from Rachel the landlady I was reassured and booked. We were looked after superbly! The food was all gluten free, even the Yorkshire puddings! (Delicious.) There was a very generous amount of such tender meat, and at least 7 - yes, 7! - types of vegetables. Very plentiful and tasty. Excellent cookery. We were too full for pudding, but I would have forced a crème brûlée down, only it was off the menu. Personally, I would have liked the food to be hotter, but it was hot enough for most people I guess, as everyone else was perfectly happy with it. All the staff we came into contact with were extremely polite, friendly, and welcoming. Service was speedy and efficient. We all went away very happy. I highly recommend this pub and will definitely return.”
“Had a fabulous family celebratory Roast Sunday Lunch there last week and it was Wonderful. There were 8 adults, 4 children and a baby. The menu choices were brilliant and the food absolutely delicious. The service was Marvellous and all the staff really friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend .
Kid-friendliness: They have plenty of high chairs for little ones and the staff are very friendly and helpful”
