Ok so where do I even begin! Booked the Riverside Bar and Restaurant for a weekend stay in Long Sutton visiting my boyfriends family. As we pulled up and parked on the road side, we looked over and prayed that this was NOT the place we were staying. “Bar” is more like a wannabe nightclub. Party goers and piss heads spilling into the streets. So anyway, we got to the front door and we’re “wished luck” by the locals who were downing shots on the street. We eventually plucked up the courage to walk in to be bashed around, myself and my partner were shoved, punched/elbowed in the back GOD KNOWS HOW MANY TIMES! To which you can imagine trying to sleep in the place and even after spending 5 minutes in the place, you wish you were deaf. So after all of that, we got to the bar to which we were acknowledged and then completely ignored. Didn’t even bother shouting we were trying to check in so just ended up walking out again. WHAT A NIGHTMARE! Looking at the reviews, I felt really positive we found a hidden gem! Baring in mind it’s gone 9:30pm at night, 5hrs from home and we were then searching for another accommodation to which we stumbled across “The Crown and Woolpack” completely sympathised with us, discounted a family room to a twin and we had such a lovely stay! We were told by the Crown and Woolpack that is was supposedly meant to be a “karaoke evening” but by god. Even the ROUGHEST pubs and clubs in Liverpool you don’t receive that treatment! But hopefully others reading this review, will turn people away so they don’t have to pay £130.00 then a £65.00 cancellation fee when they turn up and see what we saw. Disgusting

had a quick stop over nice clean and spacious bedroom but aerial didn't workbedroom was above pub hence noisy I could hear the door slam but I didn't mind place is next door to chinese takeaway so food can be brought there

Such a welcoming pub, friendly locals, and brilliant atmosphere. The beer was delicious too. 10/10 beer actually. Live music too, what more do you need.

Stayed in the accomodation just after it had been snowing. Rooms were great, everything worked, price was right. Would stay again.

Very good easy check and great value for money. Car parking is street parking near the property. The food was good but took a long time for it to come out after ordering it. The bar prices were very reasonably and good local people to chat to. A good place.
Friendly pub, good selection of live music Sunday afternoons. Which works better than you may think

Alice and Noel are excellent hosts. Nothing is too much.The rooms are spotless and cleaned everyday with fresh towels. The rooms are large with a small kitchenette/dining area and a functional shower room with a spacious walk in shower. The beds are comfy and I have had an excellent nights sleep every night of my stay.The food that Noel cooked each evening was of excellent quality and very generous portion sizes, very well presented and delicious.I was here working locally. I stayed in a travel lodge the week prior and this place smashes that out of the water. The price is very reasonable and you get free WiFi too. I wish I had found this place first.As the work has overrun I will be coming back to the area and I will be staying here again.

Brilliant local pub, home made food and very nice staff, there Covid measures are great and they can’t do any more it’s down to us.Land lord and Lady are really friendly and very accommodating, there rooms are great value clean and tidy, they have some bigger rooms at the rear which again great value. Worth a stop if going past Sutton bridge.

A very long day with an early start meant I needed to stop over night, my brother found this place and booked it, really friendly staff excellent food and nice clean and basic roomsWe both slept well
