Terrible, sticky table, dirty condiment mills, dull cutlery and the barmans hands I can only assume he had just finished working on his car. Cajun chicken was over cooked, dry and under seasoned. My wife had a lasagne which was hot in some parts and cold in others, obviously a cheap frozen ready meal. We could not bring ourselves to eat our meals and left disappointed and hungry.

Kitchen was a day away from opening when visited (new management) looked at the menu looked like a real pub menu though. Staff and service excellent, pub and locals very welcoming

We ordered our meals 2 days before, the chicken was not cooked through. Steak rare should of been well done. Main courses not bought out at the same time, 3 meals were delayed by 20 minutes after other guests had their main meals

I had my birthday party, a table of 13 last night.Chicken wasn't cooked, steak was rare when ordered well done, a burger was missing from the double stack burger, 3 of my guests were still waiting for their meals at least 20 minutes after everyone else's meals.

Its a nice place as a bar for a drink but I do not recommend this place is used for a meal.We had the upstairs balcony for 13 guests.The meals we pre-ordered 3 days in advance.Starters was easy n came in good time.With exception to the chicken starter that was only half cooked raw in the middle.On the main course the 1st meal arrived over cooked.From 1st meal arriving to the last meal it had taken 1hour 15 mins.On trying to complain about the meal in a private place the landlady was happy to do the talking at the bar in front of the other customers.She said it was our fault as 4 people was 15 mins late.This I told her on arrival that they was running late.She was rude instead it was our fault.Never setting foot in the place again after being told she was going to cool the police.Never in my life have I ever been so insulted or treated this way in a place that ment to be a great place for food.Landlady of a pub yesAs a restaurant no way.Avoid at all costs dont go.I gave 1 star for the young girl serving us at the table.She did her best bless her.For a good day ruined go.3 year ago under different management the meals on time n in good time almost perfect.Now go to Mc donalds or pizzas

Genuinely hate leaving bad reviews but we were so disappointed.On arrival we seated. It was a Saturday night and place was mostly empty and it was quite cold in there.Took 20 minutes to get our drinks.We ordered food, nearly half an hour after ordering we get told no ribs.Changed to order and still kept waiting. After another 20 minutes we decided to leaveThe table next to sent food back as well as stone cold and said it wasn't good food.The staff didn't seem bothered, didn't realise we'd been waiting so long.Such a shame as this place was amazing before it changed hands.Hopefully it will improve.

What a wonderful little find this was. A really lovely setting for a delicious choice of food. The quiche was very good, as were the cakes and coffee! The ladies who run the cafe are so friendly and chatty. A really lovely experience.

We went for Sunday lunch on 28 August 2022. There were three adults and four children in our party. We ordered kids meals for the children, but were charged for seven full-price meals. I've emailed them but they haven't bothered to respond. Food was just ordinary. It certainly wasn't good enough for an evening out with my wife or adult friends, so not sure what their target audience is! Not recommended.

We visited here with friends and booked the table upstairs. We walked into cobwebs on entry, spiders and more.cobwebs in the windows. Dirty tables and dead flies all over the place. It was clear it had.not been cleaned in some time. We insisted on moving downstairs where the tables were cleaner but the food although wasn't bad, the quality was.inconsistant. One portion of scampi was.good one was.burnt and very overdone. The cutlery was dirty and we had to send it back. The condiments were clogged up and I've seen better in truckers cafe's!! There is no reason why it should be like this . The girl on the bar. I felt sorry for her, she was doing her best but she can't do it all. I haven't been here in years and now we all won't be going back.
