My daughter treated me to Afternoon Tea. The table in the window was set for us . Made us feel really special and food was lovely. Also enjoyed people watching while we ate ?

Lovely little place with warm and friendly staff. Tea, soup, chili, and jacket potatoes were all lovely with many options for vegetarians. Highly recommend a stop here.

Amazing place to go eat for light snacks. Good quality food, great atmosphere. Special mention to Lisa, amazing service, very friendly & professional. A credit to the team, nothing too much. Easy access for wheelchairs. The decor is lovely, very shabby chic. A must go visit.

Very pleasant café. Has a range of hot and cold snacks and meals. Quite a lot of seating inside. Good decaf coffee.

We were in Louth at a gathering of descendants of a family who'd lived and worked in the town from at least the 1800's. At lunchtime we decended on the cafe which some members had visited as Hanson's in the early 1960's. As a group of 15 we arrived without having made a reservation. Seemingly unphased, the staff both serving and preparing the food did an excellent job. My husband and I eat their regularly and the quality of the food for our large group was of the same high standard as when we go in as a couple.

We called in for lunch on Friday lunchtime, and it was very busy, but we had 1 and a half hours so we thought that would be fine. They have an exceptional wide menu, and a great choice for vegetarians. However the wait for our order to be taken and for our food was far too long and we ended up having to rush to eat it.Vegetarian options: Very good choice.

Usually pop in when we visit Lough. Their special of soup (potato and leak) with a cheese scone is delicious. Recommended to us by a friend and I'd gladly recommend to others though, I'd rather it didn't get too popular in case I can't get a table!

On a flying visit to Louth we looked for somewhere to have a bite to eat and discovered this 'Absolute Gem' - Being a very tall and large chap, I appreciate good food and good portions.... I certainly got that here. We ordered soup and sandwiches. WELL - It was a massive bowl of 'Home Made' soup which tasted wonderful. The sandwiches came with a variety of breads to choosefrom. I chose granary and the wife had wholemeal. I was shocked when they arrived...True Doorsteps. ? The bread was a lovely Thick Cut and the filling was 'Amazing'. I had cheese, coleslaw & Red Onion Relish. No word of a lie, the filling was about 4cm thick & tasted really scrumptious. With it we had 2 pots of tea (they were Big pots that gave 3 cups each and tasted lovely. The tea room itself was clean, airy & traditionally decorated. The staff were lovely too, very helpful and chatty. All in all, it was one of the Very Best Tea Rooms we have ever visited, with SUPERB Food, friendly staff and best of all, Substantial and Really Tasty food at an exceptionally good price. We WILL definitely be visiting this Wonderful establishment again.THANK YOU .

Stumbled on this place on rainy day last year. Absolute gem, reminds me of what tea shops used to be. The food is excellent, with home made soup and cakes. The portions are generous for the price. Dogs are welcome too, with a water bowl handily placed.
