We had the best Christmas activity this morning - cookies and milk with Santa, my daughter enjoyed Santa reading a story, singing and chatting with all the children in the library area. They each had a massive chocolate cookie, a drink and made a Christmas decoration ?? one happy little girl ?

Went in today, went up to the counter to order, waited and waited, one of the staff looked at me never spoke and ignored me, so did the woman collecting plates from tables when she came back to counter, so we walked out. Very disappointed, someone could have spoke and mentioned they would be with me in a minute as they were doing other things but just not speak, very bad. They can't want any business.

I visit frequently for coffee and cakes, as part of a runout on my bike (Goldwing), often buying old library books! Run by volunteers who provide a good service. Cakes are locally and/or home made - nice!Vegetarian options: There are options available, GF DF etc. Just ask.Kid-friendliness: The Centre is also a library, so children are welcomed.Parking: There is disabled parking on-street and other parking near-by. Be advised that the centre is on a hill.Wheelchair accessibility: The centre is on a hill, with two levels the lower cafe is accessible from the street and the upper level from a pathway to the right or an internal chairlift (IIRC).

Stopped here for a breakfast on my way home from Yorkshire.Very friendly staff was a good start. There was plenty of seating inside and outside.I asked for a small breakfast and large latte. The breakfast was freshly cooked with very good ingredients.Everything was very tasty.I wouldn't call it small it was just right!Latte was great also.I would certainly call in again if I'm in the area.
