Popped in today with my mum who lives fairly locally.Very clean and well presented.Great choice on the menu. The staff were attentive. The food was very good and hot. Which is often not the case when eating out.Highly recommend if you are in the area.

Loved the food and the staff very nice. Dog friendly, which was a bonus.

Popped in for a coffee, and was tempted by the smell, the look and the choice of the carvery. We took three lunch’s away, in a box, there was plenty of food, I made soup out of my left overs ?

Came with my family. Great dog friendly place to eat. Lots of gluten free and dairy free options! Great choice of drinks and reasonably priced. Only reason for 4 and not 5 stars - pizza came out rather burnt!

The food is absolutely awesome. I can in all confidence say I enjoyed the best and largest fish & chips I have ever eaten on the first night, the best steak & ale pie on the second night, the best gammon steak on the third night and on the last night I had to experience the steak & ale pie once again. Not only is the food good but the price is right.

Modern and felt clean. Not enough wine glasses!!! So I had to have wine in a tumbler. Rather marred the experience. Decent meal though.

Not exactly the welcoming we was expecting . Went for my 60th birthday . Told your table is over there . Waited over 1.20 mins for food hardly any body in . No apologies when asked about how long food would be just told ur next . Never asked was everything ok . Just asked have you finished now . Wouldn’t go again . Food average .

Most of the staff were friendly and polite, except 1 was miserable. Food is definitely 5* and nice people who talked to you. Also Dog friendly is a good point. Clean tidy, well presented.

Decent food and prices, great range of gins, friendly staff. Nice decor for a holiday local, lovely outside when the sun is shining. Dog friendly.

Dropped in today (10/08/2023) as me and a mate were out on the bikes (as the sun finally decided to shine) greeting was warm so we went to order food and got (very politely it has to be said) just to let you know we haven't got this we haven't got that etc OK it happens, so we both decided on something got a drink and sat down. Fast forward 5 minutes and the lady serving came across and very politely apologised as they hadn't got what we ordered. Ok so settled on steak and ale pie. When it came the mash was cold with lumps, the peas hard and luke warm, the pie well it was OK (just). My advice would be find somewhere else. That actually has the food that they advertise!!

Booked a table for 6 people in advance for a birthday meal, was advised with it being a busy weekend it would be up to a hours wait for food. We didn't have a problem with this, and we're happy with our drinks until our meals arrived. Some mix up with the order but this was sorted. When the food arrived it was bearly warm. One of the chicken dishes was VERY pink in the middle so was returned to the kitchen. A response from the 'chef' was relayed back to us saying, 'well they've nearly eaten it all! Yes the edges of the chicken had been eaten but when cut into the middle it was clearly not cooked through. A customer at a neighbouring table returned her fish and chip meal once she had cut in to it, this was promptly replaced with a fresh meal. I would call again for drinks but would choose not to eat there again.
