Hit and miss with the quality of your fish and chips, I think this depends on what time of day you visit. However big portion sizes and good value for money.

Been here a few times and chips usually okay. Fancied a kebab. Ordered on the phone and didn’t get the red cabbage as asked for and the sauce was put all over rather than a pot as asked. The lamb doner was poor and very crispy, as was the pitta! Unfortunately wouldn’t order again even though they are round the corner from us. Most of the meat was inedible.

Took well over an hour to come. Wouldnt be the end of the world but food was vile. Chips tasted gone off, gravy looked like a laxative overdose and pizza rock solid. Takes the absolute mick. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE

The Fish and Chips and Southern Fried Chicken at Burghley Chippy were absolutely fantastic! The crispy and flaky fish, along with the perfectly seasoned and tender fried chicken, made for a delightful and satisfying meal that left me impressed and wanting to return for more.

Came for a chips and saw a southern fried chicken machine and asked chicken and chips instead which was cheaper compared to other places and also the chicken was so fresh and crunchy compared to before.Suggesting everyone to try southern fried chicken and chips

Really good when they first took over from Sid. But the quality of the food has taken a tumble. The last few times I have been there the fish and chips were dark brown and not very hot. Taste was not good sort of greasy with a slightly burnt taste. Maybe the cooking oil needed replacing. Won't be going back. Birdys on Lincoln Road for me again even though I live a stone's throw from burghley chippy.
Very friendly staff. Tasty food and amazing prices. . A wonderful experience and spectacular,amazing place in our Stamford. The best pizza and juicy chicken and tasty kebabs. The fish and chips is brilliant.
