“Situated down a cute little side street, Amore was a quaint little Italian restaurant that has a surprisingly modern menu.
After a long afternoon at Rutland water and not particularly attired for an evening meal in a restaurant, we chanced upon this hidden gem and sought a table.
We arrived at 6.10pm and we were seated immediately. We decided to try a cocktail each (Daiquiri and Limoncello Spritz) but they don’t quite have their cocktail making skills perfected yet and both were pretty awful.
The food arrived quickly and the service was good, so that made up for this minor issue.
My better half had the Sea Bass and I opted for the chicken in a creamy mushroom sauce. We then capped the evening off with a Crème brûlée and a Profiteroles desserts.
The food was outstanding and quickly delivered, however, we were the first customers in and there were only 6 additional customers by the time we left.
Between the two of us we spent £90, which I thought was reasonable.”

“The food we had from Pizza da Mario was some of the best we’ve had in Stamford. Both pizzas were phenomenal and a great size. We ordered online where it stated the order would be complete in 20 minutes However it ended up being over an hour but when we went in to ask they were incredibly busy and were very apologetic. We also had the tiramisu which again was nothing short of fabulous. The price is absolutely justified for the quality of the food.”

The only problem with the food was that it was just so hard to choose what to have.
Yes, it's at the pricier end of the market, but it's worth every penny. Absolutely delicious. We will definitely go back again and again.”

“Pizza Express Stamford is not my favourite branch but it’s up there in the top five, great location next to the river and we’ve always had great service when we visit. The atmosphere is always relaxed. The food is as you’d expect from any Pizza Express.
The only gripe would be they seem to have squeezed more tables in so you feel like you are sitting extremely close to the next table.
Dietary restrictions: Nice to see more gluten free options.”
“Our first time dining at Cloisters tonight and it was a great evening. The staff were all welcoming, warm and friendly. All the food was delicious and nice portions. Can’t wait to return.”
