Really relaxed atmosphere, we felt very looked after and the food was so delicious. It was my husband's birthday and they even bought him some macaroons on the house! The staff were really friendly and helpful, every dish we ordered was cooked to perfection. Only thing I would say if you are going for dinner, it would be nice to have another veggie option on the menu as a main but it didn't take away from what a lovely experience we had.

We visited the bistro to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary as we had been married at the hotel. The staff were impeccable and greeted us on arrival and we were able to choose our table. We had 3 courses washed down with complimentary Prosecco and a surprise anniversary cake platter. Every morsel was divine and a wonderful memory made for my husband and I

Very pleasantly surprised! A relaxed yet professional team looked after us really well and made us very welcome from the start. Delicious and beautifully presented starters and main courses finished off with an equally perfect desert. Try the tart tatin! A perfect meal in every way for both of us and we will definitely be eating there again.

Remarkably good food, with a very reasonable set menu. Couldn’t fault the staff, service or food when dinning during a Tuesday lunch time. Not the cheapest food in Stamford but definitely worth the cost as it is fantastic! I’ve eaten in every restaurant in and around town and this is by far one of the best. My boyfriend and I enjoyed one of our most favourite meals and will definitely be returning!

Unfortunately, we had an absolutely shocking experience here. Eight of us for a birthday dinner. Nibbles came after starters. Three burrata sent back - it wasn't burrata and was ice cold. Two tepid pork dishes and a tepid steak - and an unapologetic chef. Sent back. The waitress did her best and the manager did too, but it simply wasn't good enough. Even the meals we could eat were overpriced for the quality of the ingredients. Emperor's new clothes!!

Went for an impromptu date, and didn't fancy some of the pretentious, over priced centre of town restaurants, and very glad we chose Mildreds. My partner had the special starter, French onion soup which was incredible, while I had the serrano ham which was simple but faultless. For mains I had flat iron steak which was cooked to perfection, medium, while my partner had two of the small plates and a side portion of chips... We were both pleasantly full at the end of the meal, and all the staff were extremely attentive and the service was great. Will 100% come again and recommend to friends and family!

Everything about our evening at Mildred's Bistro was fabulous! The staff were friendly and attentive and all of the food (starter, main and dessert) was outstanding. I have a long list of dietary requirements and the staff went out of their way to accommodate this and spent a long time explaining what I could eat on the menu, whilst having also made specific dishes for me to choose from. We look forward to returning! We highly recommend this restaurant.

I went for lunch today with a friend! Firstly the atmosphere was so beautiful! Chilled, elegant vibe! No rushing or banging of cutlery! We had the set menu at £18 for 2 course! Absolutely gorgeous pea & mint soup! So smooth & silky! Probably the best soup I've ever had! The main was the steak cooked to perfection! We also had the courgette in tempura which was so light and only £4 a serving! We decided not to have a dessert as we were so full! I really can't wait to go back again! Mildreds Bistro really has put the william cecil on the map! This place is totally worth a visit! & they do a cocktail hour!Parking: Make sure you register your car number plate at the ipad by reception so easy!
