First time visit & we were very pleased. The staff were very helpful & friendly & the food was lovely although a very limited menu. I had cod & chips, my partner had scampi & chips, both meals were freshly cooked & very tasty. They came in baskets but the only downside was we had to eat them with just a wooden fork, not a major issue though. This is a nice little cafe in Sandilands which is dog friendly and close enough to the beach to make it a good place for a drink or snack after a walk. They do fish and chips and a few other dishes with some specials and the chips are lovely - and also home made rather than cooked from frozen. Most food and drink I saw looked locally sourced too (they are also licensed). We enjoyed a lovely lunch today, June 22nd. Staff very friendly, food excellent. Hubby had the fish & chips, I had the crispy cod & salad wrap & a side of chips, plus coffee. The fish tasted beautiful & really fresh. We had the choice to sit either undercover or outside with our golden retriever. After our long walk at Sandilands it was a lovely refreshing stop off for lunch. The art shop is worth a look too. A great find.
