My partner and I are both gluten intolerant and found the menus offered plenty of choice in dishes. The staff even went through the ingredients in some dishes and checked with the kitchen too. Lovely food, friendly staff and great atmosphere.Dietary restrictions: Well thought out menu for a variety of dietary restrictions.

We were staying in the Premier Inn - 4 adults and a 3 year old, for 8 days. We had prepaid breakfast and all agreed it was great value for £10 each per day. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. The cook made us porridge in request. The hot breakfast buffet was fresh with a good choice of food. A range of pastries, toast, pancakes and cereals was on offer. We also had a lunch and dinner here and were greeted with the same helpful friendly service and good value for money.

After cooking Christmas Lunch for the past 30 odd years, my partner and I, along with my father, decided to book the Packet Steamer for our Christmas lunch. What an experience! The food was sensational, and more importantly, the staff were amazing ! The staff were very attentive, and were plentiful. The bar was well staffed, and it was very easy to get served. A very special mention to Ann, who served us throughout our meal, and served us our drinks whenever required, she was an absolute star. All in all, a fantastic experience, and see you next year !

Booked a table for 2 on a Friday evening. Paul behind the bar made an excellent first impression by being warm, welcoming and friendly. Then we went into the restaurant, the manager, Dylan, showed us to our table and introduced Leila as our waitress. We were impressed by how hard the staff worked, including the manager who seemed very hands on and organised. The food was very good, served hot, on hot plates too. Leila our waitress was a star and made us laugh a few times and kept smiling even though she was extremely busy and the pressure was on. We would definitely recommend and return to The Packet Steamer. Thank you Dylan, Paul and Leila you are all assets to the owners of Beefeater Restaurants.

Thank you too Ann for the great service. Professional, lovely and helpful, she is a credit to the team. We all enjoyed our food from the festive menu and overall nice atmosphere. Thanks again!

I love this place, the manager should be very proud! Dillon with the team in the restaurant and Paul behind the bar with his team! They all make the dinning experience truly exceptional. I have reviewed this place before, but it just gets better. I have traveled up and down the country and have had breakfast and dinner at most, this one is by far the best. They have three Premier inns in Liverpool that I am aware of, I stay here and drive the extra distance to work, simply because of the Beefeater restaurant attached! (The Packet Steamer) The staff are simply fantastic. Apparently wasn’t a one off! Thank you

The staff worked hard but it was under staffed so service was slow. The food was yummy and we ate everything, but felt small portions considering the price.

Not what Beefeater used to be. Haven't been for years but I remember this place used to do really good steaks, I had a porter house last time I was here and it was spot on. Now it feels like a weatherspoons or something like that. Not the best food. No decent sauces either, where's the bernaise our the Roquefort? The kids spaghetti Bolognese was terrible, had to give him part of our tea.

Our mother was here last week and was so impressed with the food and service my brother and I brought her back today to see what all the fuss was about. We all had fish and chips... Quality!!! does not do justice to our whole experience. Be back soon.Kid-friendliness: My mother mentioned how child friendly the place is.

Went for dinner tonight for the 3rd time. Been for breakfast a couple times too and the food is always good.Tonight they were super busy and the drinks took about 20 mins to get to us which wasn't great but, they were busy. The food took ages. We sat down at 8 pm and left at 10.45 pm. Their excuse was that the well done steak takes 35 minutes. Not the best excuse but also when we mentioned we were unimpressed with the wait time the manager mansplained the whole kitchen 'order to plate' process to me instead of just saying, sorry we should have told you your food would take an hour. He came across as rude and fed up. Really unpleasant. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt because maybe he had a bad day!

All you can eat breakky for under a tenner. Usual pastries, muffins and toast and fried fayre. Self service including coffee variants, teas and fruit juice. Always clean and nice relaxed atmosphere. Can't go wrong for a tenner. Would get 5 stars if fried food was a little less greasy.

Fabulous food and brilliant service from Ann L and Dylan. Couldn't ask for more. Nothing was a problem. They gave advice regarding the menu and had lots of knowledge regarding gluten free items. Thanks guys.
