Had a lovely Easter meal at The Irby Mill today. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough to help. Food was lovely and the children really enjoyed it. Very friendly venue with a homely atmosphere. Highly recommended.Kid-friendliness: Staff couldn't do enough for fussy children.

Had a great Sunday Roast and cheeseboard. Staff great, food great, wine and beer great. Lovely old pub, I recommend it.

Lovely little country pub. When doing a walk from Irby It's very handy stop with it being on a crossroads as it's on the route to Greasby, Roydon Park and Arrowe park. It's very cosy inside and with a log burner it's nice and warm on a Winters day. In the Summer it has a nice little beer garden if you want to sit outside. I have not eaten there recently but I know they have a good menu. Their range of real ales is normally excellent.

Pre-booked a table, arrived and seated ok. The food was above average and the service was good. We had to ask for the music to be turned down so we could hear each other but, with the food dining area being so compact, everyone's voices drowned out what conversion we tried to have. Food good, service good noise spoilt it but it did not detract from the overall Sunday lunch. No disabled parking available. 7/10Parking: 2 spaces left on a Sunday afternoon. No disabled spaces in the car park which was probably hidden by a smokers gazebo.

Love the Mill, one of the best pubs to have a drink and get some beautiful fresh home cooked food, not to expensive and fantastic atmosphere. Get yourself down there. 5 stars all day.

Lovely food but 2 hours for a large birthday meal of 10 people having with starter, main and dessert is too short. No time allowed to relax between courses. My mum approached 3 times saying ‘we need table’. Apart of that service was lovely.

It was my mums 80th Birthday meal and around 10 of us attended that included 3 children, it was nice to start with but nearly finishing our main/sweet my sister kept getting asked "we need the tables" wasn't great that we were getting rushed and pushed out as people were coming in, looking at us like saying hurry up. What upsets me is it being valentines day and my mums special 80th birthday. I've worked in the restaurant business and that clearly wasn't great service.Unfortunately this has put us off going back there. Just not happy at all.Kid-friendliness: We had 3 children with us but they didn't do children's meals got told would have to buy adult meals disappointed with that.

Beware the cheese and leek pie. It was way too salty and still have the taste in our mouths. First not so good experience at Irby Mill where food is usually spot on.

This is a nicer version of your standard pubs/chains. Cosy and traditional. My husband had a beer on draught which was flat, returned it no problem as a couple of others had. Was either busy or not really checking the lines.I had a light red wine which was nice and fairly priced. The other ales looked good and they had a good selection on the bar.Had food which was nice. Had the scampi and chips which was tasty and plentiful. Husband had fish and chips which looked equally nice. The place wasn't particularly busy, service was super slow and we had to wait a fair bit for service on the bill.
