This is oddly only the second time we have been to Julian's. The first time was many years ago and given what a wonderful meal we had last night, we are bemused why we have not been more frequently. We will be making an effort to go more regularly.

We visited during The Open mid July 2023 and ate from the special Golfers’ 2 course menu. I had the pork dish while my husband had the slow roasted lamb. Both were beautifully presented as well as delicious and served with seasonal vegetables cooked to perfection. Homemade bread and butter pudding and baked Alaska followed; both were the best we’ve ever tasted! We were told that this place is all about the food and indeed, the food wouldn’t have been out of place in a Michelin starred restaurant. The service did not disappoint either. Julian and Jackie are a fab team. Yes, the decor/ambiance could maybe do with a tweak or two but this place is a hidden gem on The Wirral and great value for money.

I can't believe you've been open 19yrs and this was my first visit. Absolutely faultless, gorgeous food and service. Everything was just perfect and we'll definitely be back!! Thank you Jackie & Julian, and it was lovely to meet you both.

The chateaubriand is to die for. The duck was not the best didn't think the masala jus went well with the duck.

Fancied somewhere different and Julians had good reviews so we tripped over from Liverpool. Restaurant was bright and airy with a kind welcome on arrival. I had the Lamb and Wife had Rib Eye, both where cooked perfectly, served with selection of vegetables and all arrived hot, which is always welcome. Wife had some dietary issues which where accommodated without issue. Definitely recommend.

Our second time of visiting Julian’s and we weren’t disappointed, after returning from holiday we decided to end the week by taking our friends to sample Julian’s excellent cooking. Jackie is an amazing host, always a friendly welcome and nothing is to much trouble. Our choice of food was excellent, the goats cheese tart was amazing as was the pork and steaks that we chose with the freshly prepared vegetables and to finish it off we couldn’t resist the Baked Alaska which was delicious. Thank you Julian and Jackie for making the evening so enjoyable, we will definitely be back.

I haven't been for a while but used to be a regular with my ex-girlfriend, it was far and away our favourite place to eat, everything about it makes for an outstanding evening, all the staff are so friendly and rhe chef is in another league with his food. Highly recommend this place.

We love Julian’s . The food is fantastic and Jackie always looks after us.. Tonight I stupidly ordered salmon by accident in a meal and I’m allergic to salmon .. Julian and Jackie were so attentive and were prepared to replace my meal. But I knew with Julian’s expert cooking I would come to no harm.and I identified it quickly in the meal.. Thank you Julian and Jackie I’m fine and looking forward to our next booking with you. ❤️

The last time we went to Julian's was in 2005 and on our return we weren't disappointed - the quality of the food and service is as stellar as we remembered it to be. I had the duck confit (perfectly cooked) and the salt and pepper squid which was incredibly good. Impeccable meal.
