We went with friends for a meal first time here , and it was lovely food . I don’t know why it wasn’t busy . It’s a really friendly place and we all enjoyed the food . I’m a really fussy eater as well . We will definitely be back .

Been coming here for years for take outs and eat ins. Ruby is the most pleasant host. Had a lovely takeaway, piping hot and lovely taste. Good value as well. Will definitely be back.Vegetarian options: They also offer mock meat which if you're tring to reduce your meat consumption, it's a tasty alternative.

Friendly service in a comfortable setting. Wide choice of options on menu , had the prawn dumplings , beef curry and egg fried rice which was excellent . Would definitely come back .

This is our go to Chinese and we’ll worth the drive. They cater for us vegans and we have worked our way through everything on the “mock meat menu”. Everything has always been delicious and they make the sweetcorn soup suitable for us and it’s incredibly tasty. The staff are super friendly and helpful and it’s always a pleasure to visit; reasonably priced too. See you soon!

Just had a wonderful takaway from the Dragon and Phoenix in Newton-le-willows. Ruby, the owner is so pleasant. We ordered a takaway and the food was delicious and piping hot. We've had other chinese takeouts but the Dragon and Phoenix win hands down on flavour and value.

We walked in without a reservation and they had plenty of room. The food was delicious and served hot, the staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. The prices were reasonable and it looked a good place for parties and special occasions.

We’ve eaten here before and noticed a lot of social media activity following a poor food hygiene rating, so we thought we would check it out again for ourselves.The restaurant looks really clean, recently redecorated, new carpets etc. so initial impression was good.Got to say, the food was great, actually better than we remembered it. The wine was very reasonably priced but the highlight was definitely the service; really friendly and welcoming.We asked the owner about the rating, she explained everything and, from our point of view, we’ll be back soon.Really great evening. Thanks.Vegetarian options: The veggie options were really tasty, mine was great but I ended up with food envy as my wife’s was better.Story of my life!
