Haven't tried the food so can't comment but enjoyed a pint of lager in here on a Friday teatime, pub was very busy with lots of friendly faces and a good atmosphere and thats what a good pub is all about ?

If you want to replicate the platters available through the week, go to Iceland. Its just frozen food from there, cooked in the oven.... unless you order cheesey chips, then it's oven chips, which are put in the microwave to melt the cheese. You couldn't pay me to go back.We had a Chinese platter and the rib and chicken wing platter at our table. If they're not oven chips, they weren't cooked correctly. Also the cutlery was dirty, and there was a hoover on the table behind us. I didn't feel like it was somewhere to go for something to eat, I felt as if we were in a storage room with boxes, and hoovers laying about the place.

Great place to socialise. Beer is top notch. The food is cooked by jo and Leslie to an excellent standard and reasonably priced .There is a sing along every Sunday run by Ged and the staff. and like myself there is plenty of sport on the multiple Tv's. We have been regulars at the Carrs for many years and have been impressed by all the recent changes within the community pub.thanks to Ged and all the staff who make the experience well worth the visit.
