Great food great service only thing stopping the 5 stars was it was a little too dark inside for my liking. I had the scampi, with a salad bowl and it was great. Will go again

Was here with some friends who live in Diss. The food was really great. I had the braised pork belly, which was tender and flavourful. Finished off with the creme brule, the creme was wonderful, but there was a little too much sugar so there was a grainy layer over most of it. Still good though. Ambiance was what you except of a rural pub, charming. A little more light would have made it easier for middle aged eyes to read the menu.

Absolutely amazing food, service, and very friendly staff, food is always hot, and always spot on, deserts are also just amazing, you will not leave here hungry that is 100% for sure. If I wasn’t such a hurry, I would of posted a photo of my East cost Pie, and Strawberry and White choc cheese cake.I have been here now 15/16 times and always look forward to going back there.A++++++++ Very very HAPPY

Visit on 04/06/22 ----- as always from recent past visits food excellent preparation beautifully presented by very efficient and friendly staff.Very good value with large servings all round. Will continue to support this very successful restaurant with a very comprehensive menu. Well done.

have eaten in this restaurant on qiute a few occasions since moving to Diss it was reccomended by my family who have been using it for some years i called to book my 70th birthday meal in the morning for 12 people for the 9th of july and was told there was not a problem as there were no bookings for that evening i said i would ring back later that day and confirm which i did only to be told by a rather rude man i believe to be the owner that it was not ok because there were more than 10 people in the party even though i was more than willing to leave a substantial deposit he abruptly told me even though i had been told there was not a problem we were not welcome, i did think the hospitality trade would welcome such a booking after such a hard time but are willing to lose mine and my famillies regular custom in such a rude manner will not be going back

We waited over 40 minutes for drinks to arrive. Food was very good. Portions were huge. Attempts to clear table whilst some of our party were still eating. Very young staff, unsupervised. We asked for the bill waited 30 minutes to arrive and a further 25 minutes before the waitress came to take payment. Food four star Service 1 star Overall a 3 star

Wife and I are publicans at a local village pub.We were very impressed with firstly the fact that they could squeeze us in last second without booking.Service was very friendly and efficient even during busy time.Food was perfect. And everything else we saw pass us from the kitchen looked amazing, Good portions, No long waits. Good value considering the lovely atmosphere provided and service quality. And they don’t automatically add the service charge to your bill. We tipped them deservedly.Staff smiles and chatty ? and a good feel about the place.Great to see a good pub thriving.Well done White Hart.

Again, the White Hart excelled itself on Sunday. There were six of us and the staff were professional, fast and courteous. The food was excellent as always and even though we all tweaked our orders the staff just tapped the amend into their tablet and it was sorted without any fuss. Be warned, if you get the cheeky dessert slice with the Maltesers in, you’ll need to release another notch on your belt, then have a bit of a kip around an hour later…

Me and my partner have been here a couple of times, first with a reservation and the second time without. Firstly, the food is amazing, quality and quantity. First time we booked we were seated in the attached gazebo which also had a good fire going meaning we were nice and warm even though outside was quite cold. When we didn't have a reservation they made it clear they can fit us in but they needed the table two hours from when we arrived, more than enough time to have food and enjoy the visit. We would highly recommend here for a nice meal.

Came with family for a birthday meal, food was nice, hot and i cant complain. It was the man who served us was so rude. When he was giving out food, we asked if we could have salad cream and got told your have to wait i need to get these out, your table is booked out after you. He said it in a horrid way. Though one member of staff a young girl with dreadlocks was lovely and kind helpful.
