Very bland food, turkey was dry & hard to swallow, the veg was sloppy over cooked & tasted of water (definitely not fresh veg). The gray was lumpy, I wasn't finished eating yet the waiter kept trying to take mine & others plates, breakfasts have gone downhill massively too, shame.

Had a lovely family dinner. Our waitress Ellie was amazing, she took the time to talk to us and she was helping the kids with their hats. It's very rare to have someone as valuable as Ellie so please keep hold of her because she will take your business to the next level. For families like us it's not just about going out for dinner, it's about the people your around and the atmosphere created by staff. Also I would like to mention Laura, as we came in she made us feel so welcome like we were at home which straight away settled the little ones and as we left we got the kids a toy from your machine and she was chatting away to them asking about their toys which really meant a lot to them.

The vegetables were dry and barely warm, the mashed potatoes looked and tasted awful, the stuffing had obviously been sitting around since opening time. The meat was dry and cold. Worst meal I've had from a

Food was excellent, hot and fresh, got everything we wanted, staff were friendly, came to your table quickly. Was delicious, had Christmas carvery, perfect cooked everything.Wasn't down to staff, but turnaround seemed a bit slow, think it was customers sticking to their tables too long, but I don't think it would be right on a day like that to ask them to hurry up, it would dent the experience. But the staff were excellent in turning tables round once they were vacated, we did get to our table 40 minutes after booked time, wasn't a problem for us.Wheelchair accessibility: Restaurant is on ground floor, had an accessible toilet, no steps in building on ground floor

Food was a let down for the price we paid. Roast Potatoes overcooked and hard as was the stuffing dried out and hard. In fact most of the vegetables were dried out and poor. Sprouts were good that’s about it. We were booked for 3-30. Told not to be more than 10-15 mins late as tables would not be held. We were not seated until 4-10 pm by this time 3 of us were in a lot of pain due to back/ hip and knee issues. This was not good. We were totally disappointed with the meal for the price and wouldn’t come for Christmas dinner again! Staff however were great! Friendly and apologetic. We had young children with us one of which was autistic and the long wait was not ideal!

Roast potatoes were rock hard. Yorkshire puddings stone cold. Soup flavour had been changed. One starter had lots and the other hardly any food so had to even out myself. Servers were lovely and very busy so made no complaints. Having paid £120 for this Christmas dinner we decided to just enjoy what we got.

Our visit was very disappointing. Mum's starter came as plain prawns despite being offered prawn Cocktail at time of booking. My soup was not roasted Vegetable as advertised but some spicy tomato and I was not advised of the change it was barely warm and I had to request a soup spoon twice before being given one. The main meal was terrible the yorksshires were like leather, there were no pigs in blankets and the small selection were overdry and tasteless. The gravy was like blamange it sat on the meal instead of flowing. We barely saw our server (one as regulars we didn't recognise) fortunately other servers got us drinks and helped me as I have mobility issuesOur server asked after the main meal if all was OK we said no and told him all that's written here he said he'd talk to the manager but despite staying for another cold drink and a coffee no manager appeared. We took dessert to go and the pudding tasted burnt when we ate it the next day.Given how much we paid for this meal we are very disappointed with the service and food quality we received.

Staff were ok but the actual meal wasn’t great the difference in quality compared to our previous visit was large. On previous visit the food was great, that visit made us want to come back but if I was to recommend I wouldn’t after last night. We also didn’t received very much meat at all which was surprising and utterly disappointing

Well everything went wrong in this place i went there with my whole family the worst restaurant i ever been my husband can't eat anything all food stayed at plate, my kids just advise they're big eaters thats why i paid for both adult plates they stay just with starters and desserts, all restaurant stinks like tyred and old fried oil the service was delayed and far to be good, the food was dried under the heaters lights doesn't look appetising, the chefs when they coming to replace the food they're wearing very durty uniforms all place looks unclean even the glasses when they bought the drinks they're durty and greasy so my kids drinked from the bottle. Awful experience

I have visited a number of Toby's. This was far the worst. Customer service was diabolical. Food had been left on hot plates. Half was cold, other half was dried out. Not once did a member of staff come and ask was out food ok? We would of told them it wasn't. The Gentleman server, tall and looked liked he needed his uniform ironed and looked very unkempt. Not a very advertisement for your company front of house. His was more interested in the two young ladies that were sitting. Opposite us and couldn't do enough for them. Soon ever he realised we had finished didn't ask if we would like desert, said are you paying cash or card. I just looked and just produced my card. Paid and he just walked away never even said anything. Totally disgusted in your customer care and how your staff come across. I've been brought up in the Hospitality business and would not recommend your Establishment or come back again

Well what I can say. What a delightful place. Had a breakfast on a Sunday morning about 10:30 with my partner. The eggs were like rubber, bacon was overdone and crispy. Mushrooms were shriveled and frankly rank. But the thing that got my attention was the long blonde hair in the beans. My partner complained to a member of staff who just said 'oh right' and dropped it on the floor and that was it.Served myself another breakfast and decided that I shall not visit again. Not recommended.

My partner and myself arrived here after booking a table early this afternoon for 16:30. During the booking, we were asked for any dietary requirements to which my partner stated he’d like the Mushroom & Ale Pie as he is vegan. We received no notification that the Mushroom & Ale pie was not available so we he headed on down. While we were ordering, the server informed us that there were no vegan dishes available as a menu reshuffle was taking place but did instead offer a vegan person, 2 separate dishes that contain cheese. He then said my partner could have a small plate of veg for a £2 reduction based on the price of a meat carvery. So basically my partner was offered a small plate of veg for £12.49! Nobody wanted to rectify this or reduce it even further. To make things worse, we’d been on holiday with my partners disabled uncle and we were looking forward to a nice meal together to end the holiday, but instead myself and my partner ate nothing and spend most of the time looking for somebody who had a vague idea of what was going on but the Manager or Assistant Manager was too busy sorting out the UBER eats delivery. I hope this raises awareness of having a contingency plan to substitute dishes during your menu reshuffle. Sadly we will not be returning to Toby Carvery ever again.Dietary restrictions: They don’t cater for vegans during a menu reshuffle.

I had the pleasure of dining at this establishment and wanted to share my feedback, specifically regarding the service provided.Firstly, it's worth noting that there is a queue for the carvery on Sundays, which can be somewhat lengthy, ranging from approximately 20 to 30 minutes. However, I found this waiting time to be entirely justifiable in light of the overall experience. The quality of the food, particularly the generous portions of meat and ample servings of sides, truly exceeded my expectations, providing a satisfying and gratifying meal. What truly sets this establishment apart, however, is the outstanding level of service I received. Our server, Kerry P, demonstrated a remarkable dedication to her role. Despite the bustling atmosphere, she remained consistently available whenever we required assistance. I must especially commend her for her exceptional patience and attentiveness when catering to my brother's special needs and discerning palate. Her friendly demeanor and willingness to go the extra mile significantly enhanced our dining experience. In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant, primarily due to the exceptional customer service provided by Kerry P. Her professionalism and commitment to ensuring a memorable dining experience make this establishment a standout choice for those seeking not only outstanding food but also impeccable service. Will only be coming back if served by Kerry P. :)Dietary restrictions: Always asked before hand about dietary needs which was nice to hear.
