Coffee Shops in Happisburgh

“An excellent unassuming seafront cafe with brilliant staff. Food is mostly traditional seaside affair (what you want in a seaside cafe!) but freshly cooked and very well executed. Sausage bacon and egg bap, and eggs florentine with salmon were both eggsellent. Staff were not only friendly, helpful and accommodating for our 3yo, but also proactively so.Accessible toilet for those with mobility issues.”

“We had a two week holiday in Happisburgh and had several visits and meals at the pub. The staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the ciders on offer and what the local area. The pub is dog friendly. The menu isn’t extensive or pretentious, but it is all well cooked and tasty. The chef understands the need for a sponge to custard ratio, so there’s no need to ask for extra custard which is a rarity nowadays! Out of all the meals we had the only thing I wouldn’t order again would be the curry, which was a little bit too spicy for my taste. The negatives are that the pub is looking very tired and is in desperate need of a facelift. I get that the owners are reluctant to spend money on a building that might end up in the sea within the next 25 years due to coastal erosion, but a lick of paint, a new carpet and some new garden furniture wouldn’t cost the earth and would make the place look a lot more inviting. To my mind it would be money well spent and I would have given a 5* rating had they done so. Having said that, it wouldn’t stop us returning should we holiday in the area again (which we are planning to do).”
