Atmosphere is better than the food itself. For the price the quality of the food is very poor.Service was good.

Looked good via the website and some decent reviews. Our visit was overall quite disappointing. First off you have to find a table, then order and pay and then wait for your buzzer to go off and return to the serving point and collect your food and drinks. Not what I expected at the price point. £12+ for mains, bacon sandwich £8, chips £4. The main courses were Nacho based with bean salad and were very stodgy and oily. Home fried Tortilla wedges would have been better as real Nachos. Bacon sandwich was good, door step slices and flavoursome bacon. As it must be for £8. Chips nice, but £4 for a side. Flat White was bitter and thin, Tea tasteless, Hot Chocolate good. Mixed crockery was a nice shabby chic element. Eating upstairs amongst drying tea towels was not. Had this been waitress service and downstairs seating it may have made it and average experience. Nice location, great potential, but some details need refining for the price charged. Menu on website does not give prices.

We arrived at 11,30 for lunch but lunch was only available from 12 We ordered our drinks which we had immediately and placed our order for lunch which was duly delivered to our table at 12 o'clock on the dot Excellent food - sweet potato falafel with aubergine and tahini sauce / salad with crispy flatbreads beautifully presented and service with a smile all served in a tranquil setting We live locally so will return again soon

Really nice place to get away from it all. The location is fabulous, and the food is good, as is the coffee. Quite expensive, £7 for a bacon roll. It seems a bit much to me. Worth a visit though.

Had a lovely meal, full English, very nice sausages and a toastie very good, nice Mocca and tea, pleasant staff and prices were reasonable, a unique atmosphere with plenty of seating outside .Parking: Parking is opposite the restaurant

Poor experience, unfortunately. We arrived and ordered (2 cheese toasties and a full English) without issues. HOWEVER we ended up waiting 45mins for our food - as there was a birthday party being catered for in the private area which we were not told about. The staff seemed very busy and unable to deal with the amount of work. Unfortunately after the wait one of the toasties was wrong (we asked for cheese and they delivered cheese and tomato). When raising it the waitress said "oh sorry" but did not offer to replace it (presumably because it would be another 45mins). My full English was delivered without cutlery and without butter for my toast, which took another 5mins to arrive after I went up to request them. For £14 the full English was not up to scratch, it didn't even come with beans. I don't think I'll be rushing back.

Horrified at paying £16 For 2 bacon sarnies! I should have refused but I think I was in shock. 2 slices of bread and bacon. Outrageous!

Visit to the gardens was exceptional. Visit to the cafe was not. Ordered lattes and they arrived cold. Returned for a new one which wasnt any better and almost thrown onto our table without any apology. One of the lattes made with oat milk had curdled. One of the serving staff was smiley and somewhat apologetic but the other was extremely sullen and really not engaged. We also noticed others returning their drinks as cold... Such a shame as it puts disappointment onto an otherwise lovely visit.

Really lovely food served either in the garden or tea room. Didn't go into the Hall's gardens - just called in for a lunchtime snack, but very pleased we did.
