Firstly I just want to say the service is absolutely incredible! The staff are very lovely and helpful, coming backwards and fourth to our every need. The food was beyond perfect, fresh and delicious! You defiantly get what you pay for. I came with my family and they all enjoyed it! Thank you very much The Angel

Firstly I would say the the female staff were very good, The pub was not very busy when we arrived at 12 30 for a table of 13, ten adults and 3 children we all ordered our meals one was a vegan and another a vegetarian, which should not have made any difference to the time it took from order to Finnish, by the time we sat down to have a two course meal took two and a half hours, to say slow it was like waiting for a bus, when the food came, a starter was wrong, also a main meal was wrong, with no apology forth coming from the management, poor service, two glasses of white wine were returned as poor but again nothing said? I had a pawn cocktail but the pawns were warm, May be they were frozen? Also I had a stake to which a third was fat but what was left was well cooked I would sum this up as nothing special, but the price was on the high side, the total bill for us was over £450, with all the problems we had, No apology’s not even the offer of a coffee it has some way to go to get us back. With regards to the interior of this pub it needs some attention and the toilets were very poor, both sexes. When you look at the Webb site it looks very good, when you look at the prices you think you would get the service and quality but in reality beware before you book.

Excellent lunch in lovely surroundings. Four of us had starters and mains which were beautifully presented. Unfortunately we could not manage dessert! Will definitely return.

Went there yesterday evening to celebrate our Ruby Anniversary with a party of family and friends, we had a wonderful evening. We were welcomed by very friendly staff, the buffet food was beyond excellent, not one person in our party could fault it. There was food especially for different allergies, the lovely Lauren who served us was so helpful. We recommend The Angel at Watlington.w

Had the most special evening here for a 40th wedding anniversary, the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was amazing with special care for dairy and gluten free . Felt very relaxed and special with the service we received xx

Excellent Lunch, service, food was fantastic. Sunday roast, great beef, huge Yorkshire, plenty of gravy, huge selection of veg. Mussel starter was huge with clams and prawns. Plum tart tatin was lush. All in all a great place to go

Food was very good. Service was good but we waiting a long time for our food. Decor and general look of pub was a bit run down. Would recommend based on the food.

This a lovely pub. We came to it in passing. We had 4 different mains. The Duck, the burger, Mussels, Pork belly. It was all delicious and the atmosphere was just great. The service was amazing. The burger was amazing as was the duck and mussels. The por belly was amazing too, but in my humble opinion the portion is way too small. I wasn't happy at all with the portion size on the pork belly. Other than that it was amazing. We had coffee and to be honest that wasn't very nice, I didn't really like it, it tasted weird.

The food was great & didn’t skimp on portions, the staff were so friendly & very patient with my uncle who’s hard of hearing. And dog friendly too!!! Lovely place, will definitely be going there again.

We dined at lunchtime which is very quiet so lacks atmosphere.Food is lovely which shows the chef loves what they do. It just lacked the finesse of a restaurant with 4

I cannot knock the food, the service, the staff, the atmosphere because it is all brilliant. I have been here a few times with family and have never been disappointed at all. Slightly pricey for what you get however, I am all for paying for the full experience, and the bar and waiting staff really go the extra mile. However, I have a baby and this was the first time I had been back since having my daughter. At the end of the meal I asked where the toilets were as I needed to change her, they pointed me to the right direction but they don't have any baby changing facilities at all! I asked the girl behind the bar where they were and she told me they don't have any, they will get some when the refurb is done. Until then, I was asked to change my baby in the open on a sofa in the bar!! I said I thought this was a family place, they have highchairs, but she just shrugged and told me everyone else changes their baby on the sofa in the small side bar. We won't be returning until this is fixed which is so sad because we love this place! Please get a private baby changing room (even just a fold down wall table in a toilet stall) and we will be back for your delicious food and amazing service!

Didn't eat so can't comment on food, but it looked rather nice.

What a find. Super friendly with an awesome menu of locally sourced food. I had the best steak I've eaten in years ? my partner had the fish which was cooked to perfection. Thanks so much, we will definitely be back.

Food was ok but very pricey for what it is and lacked atmosphere. Service wasn't up to standard. It was fine but too expensive for the quality and portion size.
