We went here with family on 15/2/24 to celebrate an anniversary. The food and service was lovely. Restaurant was clean and nice atmosphere..It was super that the vegetables were added as part of the main meal ordered and not something we had to order separately which has been the case at other places we have visited .Lovely food ! The vegetable portions were exactly as we would have at home and not over or undercooked cooked , perfect !!Thank you so much!We will be back !Vegetarian options: Not a lot but we had a pescatarian with us who was happy !Dietary restrictions: Fantastic vegan option for pudding as one of us doesn’t eat dairy

We were on holiday in the area and celebrating my girlfriends 40th birthday. The Hunworth Bell was recommended to us as a lovely location to eat at. Unfortunately their website was down when I was trying to look at what it was like and also to see their menu. I emailed them to ask about their menu, Sarah was quick to reply and was kind enough to email me copies. Their menu looked delicious with a good variety of vegetarian, vegan and dairy free options. We decided to eat here, 9 of us, inc baby, buggy and dog, Sarah fitted us into the bar area (where dogs are allowed). Sarah also facilitated me dropping off Birthday decorations before our reservation time. We were sat down and it felt really cosy, nicely lit, log burner on and there was a lovey atmosphere. We placed our drinks and food order, all came out promptly, was well presented, hot and tasted amazing. Albeit we were told it was a 2hr sitting (I surmise because its a busy Saturday night) we weren't at all rushed in anyway. To top it off the restaurant brought us out a nice little surprise at the end for my girlfriend and we all sang Happy Birthday (I hadn't forgotten to get her a cake, we had that Sunday, didn't want to miss the lovely desserts here.) Would highly recommend The Hunworth Bell, amazing food, very friendly staff, superb service.Dietary restrictions: Lots of vegetarian, vegan and dairy free options.Parking: Large carpark at the back.

Absolutely amazing little village pub and arguably probably the best pub food ever had.Extremely welcoming and so cozy wish we lived
We were staying locally for a couple of nights, so googled local places to eat and The Hunworth Bell came up. As I’d spent a great childhood holiday in Hunworth in the 80’s we thought we’d give them a try and we are so glad we did. The staff were friendly and very welcoming and the food was just fantastic (and reasonably priced as well). We were due to go somewhere else for our second night, but it was so good we booked and came back again. Definitely worth a visit – we will be returning, sooner rather than later I hope!

Tried booking lunch by phone in the morning and then email. Got an email reply confirming a table. Welcome on arrival and choice of bar or restaurant. We went for the restaurant as the bar was very busy. Attractive pub food menu. My squid starter seemed rather meagre at four small pieces. My partner was happy with the Scotch egg. My lamb shank main was very substantial and tasty. So was my partner’s salmon.

We ate dinner in the bar with our two children and our dog. Everything was excellent; the food, service and atmosphere. It’s also excellent value. We would highly recommend eating here.

Annual family get together Christmas lunch at the Hunny Bell. Pleasing menu and something for everyone. My roast sirloin was excellent. Nice pink and rare- just how I love it, but they also had well done sirloin too if that was your preference. A great selection of vegetables and yummy cauliflower cheese. Very disappointed with the roast potatoes- they were a let down and clearly not freshly made. Kids in our group enjoyed their burgers. Very dog friendly in the bar area and in all a good vibe there.

The Hunny Bell was slow to recover from covid, but we are delighted to say that they are back to their old standards, great !!
