Rang last minute after a previous booking let down. Accommodated us, welcome us and our 2 pooches, couldn’t be more welcoming. The giant Yorkshire was amazing and even the dogs had sausages, freshly cooked! Definitely be back! thank

We were looking for a dog friendly pub with good food, this smashed it. Dog was allowed anywhere in pub and the pies and puddings were unique and delicious. Fantastic touch to be able to flavour your mash. They were quiet being a Thursday lunchtime so gave us complete table service with a smile. If you're partial to good food, good service and a true dog accepting pub, then look no further.

Service was great ...Pub quiet, but it was midweek . Food had improved markedly from last visit, the pies and sauces being well cooked and very tasty. Also, the option of three sides as a main is definitely worth consideration ..

Ed was brilliant, he was left on his own as the chef had called in sick, so he served behind bar and did the meals in the kitchen. Ok we had to wait longer than usual for our meal but it was well worth the wait, delicious, hot food was served. He didn't fluster, even had time to bring water to our table. First time there but we'll be back. Well done Ed ?Vegetarian options: Thia pie was delicious ?

We got a friendly welcome from the barman who gave us the pie n mash menu to peruse. All the options are innovative and sound tasty. I went for chicken, ham and leek. It arrived hot on the plate about 20mins later. The pie was stuffed with real meat pieces and the whole thing was tasty, even though my pie was very over-cooked. This is not gourmet food, but for a tenner, it's a nice lunch.

Cosy little country pub with real fire on a cold night, made to feel welcome.

Amazing pies, great beer selection and very friendly staff. Anytime we visit the area we will definitely be going back.
Lovely food, just what we needed on a cold December evening! Dog friendly and a range of games to choose from to play after we finished eating.
I enjoyed lunch with my partner. The menu simple and perfect and set in a cosy pub just right!
Legendary pie and mash (not the cockney version) pub.
Couple of beers for me and the wife. Very convivial.
